  • I was with friends and we stopped by the Costco food court after shopping. I had a hot dog (+ refillable drink) and then 1 cinnamon churro stick. Total calories was over 1000. Worst part was that none of it even tasted that great.
  • Water (or tea) instead of Pepsi and fruit if you want more sugar/carbs?
  • Vegetarian lasagna (without the pasta sheets). Thinly slice zucchini, eggplant, pumpkin, spinach, capsicum, mushroom, carrot (you can also add broccoli, cauliflower or other veggies) + tomato pasta sauce + a low cal bechamel (milk, minimal flour and butter & cheese) in a roasting/casserole dish and bake.
  • Stopped eating: White bread, potato chips, hash browns, juices / soda , chocolate, candy. Also eating less rice and more veggies instead for dinner. Also swapped out bacon and other hams for leaner / 97% fat free meats.
  • I'm on 1200 calories a day so I generally try to end with a net calorie of +/- 100 cals each day. The maximum I would let myself go over is 400 calories which takes me to my maintenance level (1600).
  • I definitely know how you feel since I've cut out a lot of junk foods in my diet too. All snacks now have to be planned to fit into my daily calorie allowance which eliminates them most days. :(
  • Agreeing with above. I'm also on 1200 a day and have limited eating out as the portions are always much bigger than I actually need to eat. Drinks other than water are limited too.
