I use the Polar FT4 heart rate monitor. I don't even notice the chest strap and the watch is a good size for my wrist. love it!

I cannot go without coffee. I use either a sugar-free creamer, or most recently, a sugar free syrup such as Torani. You only need a little, no extra cals, and it adds a new flavor. Want to eventually get down to drinking straight black coffee. More so for convenience.

I did two 5k's last year, after I did the couch to 5k in the spring. So far, I'm only signed up for a quarter marathon in May. However, I'm hoping to sign up for at least one 5k before that. Also, plan (and hope) to do a half in the fall, probably with some 5-10k's thrown in between.

bump! gonna have to try these! thanks!

Hokay, just so we're clear, I'm pretttty sure this isn't a post about starving or lacking nutrition at all. Undressed Skeleton just happens to be the name of her blog. She lost weight by exercising and eating healthier foods. Of course, you would know that if you happened to even read her blog instead of jumping on this…

No problem! I was skeptical at first, thinking they'd just taste like eggs. But they dont.

Obviously I'm a female, but I am doing her 30 Day Shred. I don't see why a guy couldn't find use out of her DVDs. It's all about how much you push yourself and how much of a workout you want to get out of it. I say go for it!

bumppity bump! gonna have check this one out.

You know what they say...once you go black.... I've been weaning myself off of creamers and sugars. I like black coffee over ice, if it's a flavored coffee. That helped me cut back a lot, it's like free flavoring! Haven't had the balls to drink hot black coffee yet. I know, I live a wild & crazy life.

I did C25K in spring of this year and loved it. I am one of those people that NEED a plan to follow to progress. I have since ran 2 5k races. I only added an extra week in the whole timeline due to doing a couple days extra until I was ready. The first 20 min straight jog was terrifying. I told people that I was forsure…

Hey there prettymomma! I am 5'2 and started on MFP at 197 lbs with a 1200 calorie/day limit. It has worked out great for me. All about the quality of food. If I exercise, I will sometimes eat back some of my calories, all dependent on if I'm hungry/how much I exercised. 1200 works great for me though. I work in an office,…

Always have fresh veggies and hummus in mine, my favorite! Also, some other good staples are english muffin sandwiches, mini rice cakes, yogurt, popcorn, turkey and cheese roll ups, possibilities are endless!

Thanks for all the words, I really appreciate them! Sometimes it takes an outsiders opinion for stuff to really sink in, even if it's what your friends say sometimes. (If that makes sense? lol) And for the OSU stuff --- GO BUCKS ;)

I like to think I give basically anyone a chance. I say basically because, although as hypocritical as I know this sounds, some people just aren't my type. I totally understand that not everyone is attracted to me, and I don't think everyone should be. I'm not attracted to everyone. I certainly have different looks I think…

Oh the psychologist in all of us. Perhaps I am going after guys that aren't interested because of the whole self-esteem thing? That makes sense. This whole thread is just opening up my eyes more and more lol. You know, you think you know your self....and then MFP happens! lol THANKS!
-
Wow. You are wonderful. That makes a lot of sense, we just aren't ready to be "connected", if you will. And I'm glad to hear you're in the clear, best wishes on a healthy life!! Cancer is no joke. I'm just gonna focus on me, keep doing what I like to do. I'm definitely not trying to change who I am personality wise because…

Like that quote. And I know, I know, patience is a virtue haha Im just impatient sometimes! lol
-
Hadn't really thought about it that way. Definitely need to make sure I'm not putting out those negative vibes, setting myself up for failure basically. Thanks!

Thanks guys! SO much. I know that not everyone is like that, otherwise this world would be a lot worse off. I guess it's just frustrating at times. Just had to vent it out a little bit, ya know? Losing this little bit of weight has certainly boosted my confidence, so I'm myself around basically everyone and all different…

It really is mind over matter! Realize that you are good enough and you are going to succeed. Believe in yourself!!
