I used to weigh myself daily. I used MFP about two years ago and lost about 25 lbs. Weighing daily caused me to become obsessed with my weight loss. I think that being obsessed with my weight caused me to quit losing, honestly. Now, I am recommitted and I have decided to only weigh myself biweekly. If I can see larger…

I buy almond breeze and on the carton it says use within seven days of opening

I eat 1700 cals a day, ritually....with the exception of the past two weeks :( lol. That intake is the one and only reason I have lost so much.

Sedentary

I really don't think you should be afraid. You main gain the first week or two, or not lost at all, but after that it should start coming off at a rate that is much more sustainable. :) Make sure you are selecting the most accurate activity level when calculating your TDEE though.

Thanks everyone for your comments, im confident this is going to work! Still bumping tho!

Thanks fr your reply, briccomp! I was also eating around 12-16 a day and was always hungry. I have to say since upping my calorie intake I feel unstoppable. Never hungry, twice the energy to exercise and run and play with my kids. How long has it been since you changed your goals?

hahahahahahahahaha

Where the hell do you buy this?!?!

I only eat Sara Lee 45 cals and delightful 100% whole wheat bread. As for some cheese that is totally awesome..... kraft skim american cheese weighing in at 25 cals. :)

drink smoothies

That makes more sense lol. Well, I can attest to upping your intake. It works. Just try it for a few weeks and see what kinda results you get. Also, since you are pretty sedentary 1200 makes a world of sense...but how about exercising 30 min every other day & change your settings to lightly active.

I have no use for them. We all didn't take a pill to get fat, so why should we need a pill to thin out. <<yeh that's my favorite
-
I checked out your diary too. To be nosey, yes I can't help it. Anyway if you are eating 1200 a day, I would suggest you make sure and track EVERYTHING. Even if it is a day where you are so damn ashamed of what you've ate...track it, because this way you can look back and see what sort of changes you need to make when you…

I agree w/ RachRice. I posted something about not losing 4 or 5 days ago. Let's just not talk about that. Anywho. There were some kind ones that suggested I up my intake and continue to do cardio 4-6 days a week. I listened to them and upped my caloric intake to around 1600, exercise 6 days a week and i've already lost 3…

Alright Doozer, got it. Thanks for the advice.

See these last several comments are EXACTLY what I needed to hear. No question that you few are genuinely trying to help me, not tear me down for how I'm currently doing things. Thank you very much for giving me some insightful information that will ultimately benefit me. :)

good grief. I don't think some of yal are getting what I'm saying!!! Yes, LOVE the inches lost. I was so happy to see that. Yes, I was still bummed that I had gained. All I asked in my original post was an approximate time when the scale should be moving if I keep following all the MFP guidelines. That's all, I don't…

Was not referring to you. I am willing to take advice, thanks yours was helpful. It's only been a week since I got back on track anyway... believe me if I could delete this post entirely I would.
-
Pardon my last comment, I am very appreciative for those who took the initiative to say some kind and motivating words. That is what I needed to hear.

YES I am concerned about the numbers I'm working really hard towards losing. NO I'm not OBSESSED with it. NO I'm not starving myself. What works for you may not work for me. There is no black and white in weight loss. I thought I could find some support and encouraging words here , yet all I got was hateful comments from…

Really? I'm starving myself....yet I never go hungry. I had a friend in high school who dropped 175lbs keeping her calorie intake around 1400 & fat around 40 a day. Exercised every day. Now tell me again, how am I starving myself at 1600 a day.
-
uhhhm, because I DO! I love that I've lost inches, but I really want to hit 199 and I am sooooooo close it's killing me.

sounds good
