  • I didn't lose weight quickly, took me more than a year to lose 65 pounds. The bad breath in the beginning was brutal, but I had tonnes of energy and no problems sleeping. I'm always irritable, no matter what, no difference there ;) Took me 6 years to gain it all back....maintenance is my biggest issue.
  • I lost 65 pounds doing Atkins but gained it all back. I honestly do love the way I feel eating low-carb, its just not sustainable for me. I don't even lose weight faster doing it. When I feel 100% on plan, my carbs are below 100 grams, and that's low enough for me now. Its really hard to give up fruit while doing induction…
  • That's fantastic! My favorite quote ever.... "You’re never too old, never too bad, never too late and never too sick to start from the scratch once again." Bikram Choudhury Feel free to add me!
  • I love coffee!!! I recently (jan 1) gave up having splenda in my coffee because I've been wanting to cut out as much artificial things in my diet as I can....but I still have cream. Yes cream, not milk! Its so much more enjoyable to me with real cream. I have maybe 2 cups a day....sometimes a 3rd in the afternoon but I'll…
  • Please read this! You are eating too little. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12
  • Great post! I've tried to do low calorie, low fat....my body holds on tight. I eat more, eat some good fats and I lose. Some days its a struggle to eat enough because I feel so satisfied eating real food!
  • I'm from Winnipeg...LindenWoods. This group is too quiet! We need to make some noise :)
  • My biggest issue is wheat! Corn is not the greatest for me either....I had forgotten myself and ate corn chowder every day for about a week and had such problems....took a week to really notice how awful I was feeling though.
  • You are probably running too fast. When I first took it back up, that's what my problem was. I joined a group with the Running Room and the first run the leader told me to slow down, and I was actually able to run for more than 20 seconds. Breathe thru your nose, it will oxygenate your body much more efficiently than…
  • The only one I've ever been on has been celexa and I do believe I gained a little bit of weight while on it but nothing major....I was on it for about a year before I started to wean off. I feel right now like I need meds but usually thats just after eating junk food or a sugary dessert....I find when I exercise regularly…
  • I don't think I'm saving anything because I'm spending more money on working out, like zumba classes and bikram yoga (yoga is so expensive!). AND I have to spend money to buy new clothes. Buy hey, I'm not complaining ;)
  • I feel like I could have written your post. I don't know if I have food addiction but I've recently realized I'm a binge eater. When i was 12 or 13 I binged and purged but the purging was really hard so I switched to laxatives....I stopped by the time I was 15 because I realized it was not normal. Never could kick the…
  • No advice from me, just wanted to throw in my support, it seems you are doing everything right and I can feel your frustration. I also wanted to second reading this post....http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12....it's cleared up so many questions I have had because my…
  • That was before vanity sizing was invented. A 1960's size 12 is today's size 8.
  • If its genetic then why I am the ONLY overweight person in my family? No one on my dad's side or mum's side is overweight....all slender. I'd say my binge eating got me to where I am...not genetics. I take full responsibility.
  • My husband thinks I look fabulous as a US size 12 but I prefer myself in the UK size 12. It depends on how you feel, right? Don't let a pant size dictate that.
  • That sounds so appealing! I used to have a friend who made turkish coffee and after coffee she would read the grounds.
  • It never occurred to me that Deb poisoned her own water! Makes sense...I did think Hannah was telling the truth when she said "I never make mistakes" so I was stunned when it came back as 40% whatever drug that was. I had such a bad feeling about LaGuerta but not until that guy was on the table in the shipping…
  • Cream and splenda. Once the splenda is gone, I'm not buying more, so it will be cream and raw sugar until I can cut that out....I've tried so many times but I do like a tiny bit sweet.
  • I cut back, not cut out.
  • I'm 5'8 and my goal is 162....I plan to be muscular. I'm 46 and was 162 for about 2 years in my 40s and was a size 8 and it was easy for me to maintain until it wasn't...if that makes sense. I'm currently about 207, 208....haven't weighed in lately, been sick for more than a week. I'm rather small boned but I can't seem to…
  • Thanks for all the replies! I haven't had a bad bout of the IBS in years...I stopped drinking milk, really lowered my intake of wheat products (but since starting WW and MFP I have been eating more bread and pasta, just because its "allowed")...I was pretty low carb before and I think I need to stick to that :(
  • Eating properly definitely makes a difference! I found that eating less wheat helps too....shame that's what I turn to when I'm sick. I have to find a healthy alternative comfort food.
  • I paid for 6 months online of WW and am 3 months in....I'm tracking in both. I like the WW but I don't see myself counting points for the rest of my life and I really would like to learn how many calories/carbs/protein/fat I'm eating at the same time...WW doesn't give you that breakdown. Just do both in the meantime...and…
  • Another Winnipegger here!
  • Saw those on pinterest, making them for xmas book club, so cute! Also, not as healthy, but two bite brownies, topped with frosting, a strawberry santa hat and another dollop of frosting is really cute.
  • Two weeks after we started dating :) That was January 1988....still together!
  • Go SHOPPING! I'll pass on the burger and have a sushi victory lunch (sushi is my drug of choice for all celebrations anyways).
  • Usually 96 oz of water...the days I don't workout seem tougher to get the water in, and those days (like yesterday) I only drank 64 oz.
  • I didn't bother reading thru the whole thread, just the first few posts, so if this has been said, sorry! I love the 30day shred because its a great workout in a short amount of time but if you are not seeing results, you need to lift heavy. You'll see results faster. What's your protein intake like? Are you eating enough?…
