Yesterday morning my scale read 189.8 but this morning it was right at 190 again. I'm just at the edge, but I'm hoping I can say that I'm leaving the 190's for good by next friday!! :D

Everyone is so nit-picky on these message boards; I wish some people would just relax!! Obviously there's more to weight loss than those 4 words, but it's a general statement to summarize how to successfully lose weight. OP, great post! Simple, sweet, to the point. I totally support the eat less, move more movement!

You change your carb and other nutritional allowances by going to GOALS from your home page, then scroll down to CHANGE GOALS and choose custom. On the next page you'll be able to change the percent of carbs out of your total daily caloric amount.

I am also VERY afraid of diabetes. Diabetes runs in my family and being overweight has always made me nervous about being diagnosed one day. Also, I have an EXTREME needle phobia! I cry and hyperventilate when I think about it!! I cannot imagine how miserable, terrified, and guilty I would feel if I had to give my self…

Health reasons are obviously key, but no one can deny the fact that other aspects of weight loss are appealing as well! Finding a date or ending the jealousy over skinny legs are TOTALLY great reasons. Use what ever keeps you motivated to work hard to continue losing! Great answers everyone!

I have an EXTREME needle phobia. That's actually one of the reasons I stay motivated to lose weight. Diabetes and other weight-related health problems run in my family and I need to do all that I can to avoid those. I cry when I even think about the possibility of having a disease such as diabetes where I'd have to give…

I just asked myself this question today. I was looking at pictures from early high school. When I was 16 I was 5'6" and weighing in at 150 lbs (and I carried it very well!). Looking back at these photos I wondered how I ever thought I was fat because I really did look GOOD! In October of this year I weighed 209 pounds at…

It's a psychological fact...people like others that are similar to themselves. We are all here with the same goals and have an amazing understanding for eachother; it's hard to find people you don't get along with (and that's what leads to crushes) lol. MFP is great, but I try my best to keep my crushes to a minimum since…

I'm 5'7" and my starting weight was also 209. Kinda crazy how we were exactly the same lol. I began MFP October 7th and have lost 14 pounds since then (I am now 195). My goal weight is 170, and if I decided to lose more from that point the lowest I would want to be is 150 I believe, just because thats where I would feel…

I'm 19 (will be 20 in June). I began using MFP on October 7th 2011 and have lost just over 13 pounds so far. This is a great place to get the support and motivation you need to reach your goals. I'm 5'7" SW: 209 CW: 196 GW: 170 Once I get down to 170, I will decide if I want to lose more. Weight charts say I should be…

I've been told I look like Brooke Hogan.......can't say I'm exactly proud of that one! lol
