Bookworm too! I've been on MFP a few years back with success that lasted fairly well, however things have been out of control of late so need a reason to get back and stay on. Currently reading 'The Frost and the Fire' by Ruth Park (classic Aus/NZ author). And had a laugh over Armistead Maupins 'Babycakes'. Add me.. Help…

I've just finished week 3 of 5:2. I've lost about 4kg due exclusively to the diet (but expect some fluctuations as fluid retention etc... play a part). I don't exercise very much, although am lucky not to have any health problems. I do mine 2 days in a row. If i have any advice, it's not to be too prescriptive about it.…

I'm thinking about trying it too but i'm worried it's bad for you? I was inspired by a great little book of 5:2 vegetarian recipes that i figured would still be good even if 5:2 isn't doable. Feel free to add me. I think my fast days will also be monday and wednesday

Please add me. Lost this weight via MFP, kept it off for 2 years, then put it back on in 6 months of stress and it seems stuck again. I'm very happy with some curves but want to be healthier and feel better and aim for smaller waist. Anyone looking for friends feel free to add me too. Female, 35, PCOS Height: 5'8" (173 cm)…

Hi All, I'm an Aussie girl living in rural NSW. After losing 10kg via logging on and the support of the MFP community, and keeping it off for nearly 2 years, i gained it back again during 6 months of study and stress. Now i'm struggling to get back there, where i was comfortable. Hard to muster up the motivation to do what…

I'm joining and asking for people to friend!! I'm 35, 5'8" and 193 pounds (87.7 kg- I'm Aussie). It'll help me to see some new faces in my feed. I was on here a few years ago and lost 10+kg healthily and kept it off. The 2nd half of Last year was stressful and I rapidly gained that weight back. Can't seem to get motivated…

All of the above is true, however I eat them. Maybe once a week, if i'm feeling really lazy. The thing is, it doesn't matter if you're cutting something out occasionally, especially if you make a nice, healthy sauce to go with them. You're getting the nutritional value of the sauce, and in addition feeling full from the…

NEVER let ANYONE stop you and your fedora from a long and happy life together

This is true about the poor wording of the questions. However the point is still the same, the blogger (and posters) are saying that, actually perhaps you are being rejected because you yourself are being unrealistic in your expectations of women. And yes, perhaps they are rejecting you because they don't care if you think…

You actually seemed to feel very attacked, you were quite angry as your previous responses made very clear, and as i said prompting me to respond as i did. You didn't sound very intelligent in those responses, again prompting me to respond as i did. And i did also feel angry, because you were missing the point, and…

Love it! One of my favourite responses on the blog is this: "help i think i might be one of those "nice guys" and i dont even mean to. i know its not a good thing to be like this. WHAT DO I DO?" Anonymous "wash the cheeto dust off your hands and stop expecting sex and/or praise for basic human decency. I believe in you…

I never heard it before i was LMAO at this blog!! Ah dear, sometimes you got to laugh.
-
Actually, i posted this in the 'general chit chat' area, where i have noticed an astounding amount of topics not relevant to health or fitness. I have also noticed many people posting somewhat sensitive topics, and getting attacked for it- or even harmless topics. This is not personal for me, i found it amusing and…

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I don't know if you actually looked at the blog, but i wouldn't say that many of these men are prioritising their appearance as you apparently do. I wouldn't want you to sleep next to a chimp either, so i hope you are dating humans. Speaking of humans, these answers are disturbing BECAUSE they're honest.…
guys groom more than just their face. :) maybe obligated is the wrong word. and yeah the guys that said girls were obligated to have sex with them was pretty scary. and on top of that they were dumb enough to answer the question.
Most men who are into grooming are still not grooming as much as women are…

It's more the issue that it is expected, and from someone you haven't met yet. Rather than something that you both believe in as a couple. Shaving both of your entire legs every day is alot more work than shaving your face or whatever, so the expectations on women to be well-groomed are, quite frankly, ridiculous and…

Just copy and paste the link and then scroll down a bit, it's like a flowchart: http://niceguysofokc.tumblr.com/page/5 a fedora is a hat. People who think they're cool wear them. Some of those people are actually cool. Some of them are actually looking a little silly. The fedora thing is just to maintain the comedy. Just…
-
Um, I would hope that generally people who are humans would pass this test. It's the fedora's causing you issue at the end isn't it, you just can't bear to part with your fedora. Or are you not claiming you are a nice guy? because if you're more than happy to admit you're a sexist pig, or just a general arsehole then the…

Famous last words 'And he loved his fedora...'

Finally! I knew i'd find true love on here, one day... It's hard, i have to be pretend to be straight, because as you can see i am a proud feminist, and obviously all feminists are lesbians.
-
Will you marry me?
-
While this is great news, the test isn't actually about fedoras, it's about 'nice guy syndrome', where guys think they are 'friendzoned' (gee, it's so horrible being friends with women who won't bone you) because they are so 'nice' when perhaps they be a little unsure as to the actual definition of nice...
-
Yes. That's extra-douchey. Get rid of them immediately.
-
I was just being silly (about the fedora anyway). I think the implication is that only *kitten* own fedoras. Which isn't true, but lightens the tone and makes comedy out of something that is actually kind of sad. Or maybe it is true, about fedoras?

Well done! It's great news to hear there are men who have common human decency in the world without expecting a prize... If you don't expect that women keep their legs shaved or are obligated to have sex with you even when they don't want to, or that there may be reasons other than you are so nice they don't want to date…

Fantastic work! You should be proud of yourself- at a distance AND up close and personal ;)

Me too!!! LOLOL

I am a child and family counsellor. Encouraging nurturing behaviour in ALL children is vital to them growing up into emotionally healthy adults. I am sorry to offend men here, but from my experience women are generally more emotionally healthy. Not always of course, but generally speaking they are more comfortable…

LOLOL This is an AWESOME post. Love it. Not only are those women super hot and different sizes, they look strong and healthy. Fantastic. The shopping thing is a little tricky for me though i love the idea, because i get most of my stuff from the Op Shop... I wonder if Vinnies has an online sizing chart?

I didn't notice this on here (sorry if it'a repeat): Volunteer work. If you've never volunteered before, you might be amazed at the incredible array of jobs available in the volunteer sector. It's an excellent way to network and get some out-of-the-box experience, and feel good about yourself when you're feeling down.…
