  • Well done :) - I think you are doing great, I know how hard it can be and the cravings that just wont go away. I am in the same boat where I do very well for a period of time and then I just have a mad meal that turns into a day or 2 and then im back to the beginning where I think why the hell did I do that..but then I…
  • Thank you for the reply - at the moment I tend to eat a few 100 calories under most days in the week...knowing that I will be more tempted to have food at the weekend with a high calorie count. If this evens itself out over the week to be daily goal * 7 there wont be much impact ? I have heard myths such as eating too few…
  • Okay good stuff, thanks everyone for your input. Will begin eating in a defect whilst doing mainly weight training with 1 or 2 cardiovascular sessions a week to further promote the fat loss and hopefully will be able to see a bit of a loss in body fat before trying to put the muscle on. from what has been said I'm guessing…
  • Hey guys thanks for your input :), So I see the general view is don't do what I wqs asking lol, which is fine :). Just wondering if I do eat a defect and do minimal cardiovascular but instead do weight training will this help/encourage the weight loss sufficiently ??
  • Alright fantastic :)....at least now I have goals to get too and the know how of how I will get too them. Will take everything you've said onboard and will consistently try to eat around 2100 calories a day and log everything even if I don't think its important.
  • Would you 2 say the weight will come off if I consistently eat the type of food that I have recorded in my diary today ?
  • Fingers crossed....nothing more to do than keep at it I suppose and be more precise than I was before with my logging. Just a bit disheartening to not see a movement but I guess it will come...will eating too little cause a negative impact on weight loss or is this just a myth ?
  • :/ so in theory during the week I could have done the work where in a few days I would have dropped a couple of pounds but before that happened my bad weekend counteracted it and put me back to where I was ? Just strange as it hasn't gone up at all just always straight back to where it has always been. In terms of a 'bad'…
  • Havent lost 1 pound no, that being said I suppose my weighing could be better I had just been going on what pack says for weight etc and things like that however from the beginning of this week have started weighing things myself however didn't think this would cause a big difference ? I had not a cheat day as such but…
  • Yeah I am weighing it all :( which is why it is frustrating. But TBFi haven't given it ages...5 weeks just a bit discouraged as thought this would have been plenty of time to at least see a bit of difference. What is maintenance please ? Like i can guess what it means but is there something technical about it or what…
  • Yes too the majority of them although, no I don't eat back the calories used up in exercise what I eat each day tends to be fairly very similar each day regardless of whether I lifted that day or haven't at all. But yes weigh'd all food and track progress at the gym, feel stronger and lift more weight since started but not…
  • Yeah that's a fair point but I am doing all these things and then some. I know my TDEE eating less than that -10% and im not on a beginners programme. With all of this information I was hoping I could get some advice on why my weight/size isn't going down ?
  • Hey guys sorry for butting in but I wanted to ask the question here as the responses were very good and well informed. First of id like to say congrats to jrline for getting down to your BMI and staying there. My problem is similar in that I want to do it by using a weight training routine, I am 6"4, 24 and weigh 200…
  • I normally go for the duck wrap or something like that in pret but that has high fat and have been struggling to budge any pounds of late although haven't put anything on so don't know if that could be the contribution ? There is pretty much everything you can think off starbucks, Sainsbury, Tesco etc etc but all selling…
  • Yeah I know I try to most mornings but about once or twice a week (like today) I was in such a rush to get out the door that I forgot it :(
  • :) Nice congrats, ill try following in your footsteps then a pound a week sounds good to me. Going to try and eat closer to 2000 a day especially on training days
  • Thanks I had a quick look, and what on that diet you are losing ?
  • Okay thanks I will try, have you got any good suggestions that could bulk my calorie intake up a couple hundred ? Whilst still being healthy and allowing me to lose the weight as at the moment all I am having is breakfast lunch and dinner, which are similar to todays
  • Okay great thank you was really helpful, from today I am going to start on a new diet and up the food to 1800 and try to keep it as close to this as I can each day while eating good healthy food. With what everyone has said this should mean I will "definitely" lose fat as this is below what is burnt :). Just finding it all…
  • Not confuse muscle but if your not uping your game then what is the point your going to stay the same strength always without any increase to muscle surely? Okay point taken about the food, however I think it will be very hard for me to do that as I like to mix up what I have for lunch most days so I don't get bored of the…
  • Is that what this requires ? Do you eat the same amount of calories every single day ? When I go to the gym I try and look for improvements if you lift the same amount of weight for the same amount of reps your body wont grow, you have to mix it up to get the best results. I thought that was the same for dieting ? If I eat…
  • Im not guessing but how many calories I consume depends on what I eat which varies from day to day, on the lowest days I eat 1200 and on the highest days I eat 1800 with certain days falling between the two.
  • Hi All, Thanks for the replies, im glad the majority of you have discredited one of the earlier posts about not eating peanut butter (which if needed I could do) and the eating 7 times a day, which I don't due to work and commuting I pretty much always eat 3 times a day without snacking and I don't see why this as a pose…
  • Thanks that was a really great post, so what I got from that is that cut out the peanut butter and try to reduce the amount of fats taken in ? And increase the amount of calories I am taking in overall during the day ? What around should I be aiming at myfitnesspal calculated me to have about 1800 a day ?
  • Yeah im measuring foods breakfast and lunch to the tea and dinner as best I can and if anything would go more the other way if unsure. For eating calories can range I suppose from about 1200-1800 on most week days is nearer the low end there, work out schedule is the norm really doing back/biceps, legs, chest/triceps with…
