I just bought some last week. They help keep me full for a lot longer. I've tried them with tea, but have not yet added them to my food. I never heard anything about needing to drink more water. If anything, I heard they help to keep you hydrated because of their ability to absorb so much water. I guess though that would…

It's also the terrible quality of food most people consume, which in many, many cases is due to a loss of traditional diets (regardless of where we are from!). Our ancestors had some real knowledge, you know.

Just be sure to drink LOTS of water beforehand...it will make it easier for them to find a vein. Enjoy :)

High five homie!! GO YOU!!!

Take it slow. Get some good shoes. Get fitted for some. And run on grass!! I always run along the grass of cement paths. It's just way better for your knees.
-
Eat more. But gradually. It will boost your metabolism.

I don't give them pictures. I save their numbers as things like "Do not answer" or "*kitten* Face" so I know not to pick up the calls.

I would definitely recommend that you look up some knee stretches and pay particular attention to form when doing squats and lunges. I've started three times over, gotten halfway through level 2 and stopped because the knee pain was too much. Apparently it's pretty common for people to experience knee pain from that DVD. I…

I heard this one the other day on campus. Wasn't actually a bad pickup line. I found it hilarious. Dude: Hey, hey girl..what's your GPA?

I know exercise is supposed to help you with period symptoms...but I have big boobs that are sore at even the impact of footsteps. I can't imagine an exercise that would be low impact enough. Maybe yoga, I guess? I've never done it though.

I HEART YOU. Come to Champaign, IL and finish this pizza with me!!!! *kitten* my weightloss goals.....

I appreciate the responses and diverse view points.... But seriously stop telling me I'm wasting energy. It was a rant intended to relieve a bit of frustration and to see how other people might react. I don't post about this type of thing often. Telling me I'm wasting energy is the equivalent of telling me that I don't…

I absolutely stand by what I say and don't regard it as rude. Here's why.. When I say privilege, I don't mean to assume that their mentality, incomes, etc. I DO assume that privilege can mean a wide range of things, INCLUDING the knowledge that "wasting" "food" is not likely going to help starving people anywhere in the…

It's also rude to assume I'm generalizing. These are conclusions I'm drawing based on my relationship with her. She's intelligent, articulate and very sweet. Because she has positive characteristics otherwise, I've concluded that her inconsiderate moments will diminish with age. You really do learn a lot by living. I swear…

I'm ranting and seeking other people's opinions thankyouverymuch. DAMN SON causing a ruckus on my thread lol I don't think I could have refused the food...kind of not cool to do. But yes agree to disagree.

I think I'll be freezing it. To those of you suggesting I throw it out...there's two reactions I have. One is that this could be reasonable, considering the health problems associated with such food. BUT...my initial reaction is that you obviously must live in a bubble of privilege. I know, who am I to say this after…

This is why I love MFP forums....so many different responses and reactions. OH MFP.....

I was setting it out though... So I tried to treat both of us and then got treated myself .

YES! You got it right on the nose. It's like....REALLY? I mean we're really good friends. She's like 7 yrs younger. We've been room mates before. I don't know why I'd expect her to be more considerate, considering *some* of the things she's done in the past. And this isn't intended to portray her character negatively in…
-
True enough. Thank you for that honesty. I think though it's that she wasn't considerate that really bothers me.
-
I did consider freezing it. It's not so much she didn't throw down cash on it. It's slightly I that I hate to waste food (even though some may not even define this as food). It's the inconsiderate part that gets me. "Let me order this awful food with you, not eat it, and then refuse to help you not waste it because I'm…

I did this a few times before pretty consistently. Unfortunately the last three times I tried I never followed through =( BUT ..in honor of this being picked up again, I will stick to it. Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: 217 calories burned (30 Day Shred level 1 DAY 1) Tues: 816 calories burned (30 Day Shred level 1 DAY 2, strength…

My sister is the same way...she is always making fun of me for measuring my food. She's huge. Like she could have another person inside her hanging stomach huge. But I always knew it was insecurity on her part. I only snapped at her once and pulled the weight card. I felt like **** after that. But she'd been pushing and…

I bet the all the lifting you've been doing, and the drinking she does, really means that you could punch her so hard that you'd knock the wind out, and her alcohol-lathered muscles wouldnt be able to muster half the strength. Not to encourage violence. But I'm SURE that you're stronger than she is, especially if you said…

YES! DO IT!! I'm currently doing it right now too. I did think I was going to die. I took breaks. Days and days of breaks. Every time I start I say I will do it from the beginning, that day counting as day 1. Yesterday was one of those. I have to say though that you will DEFINITELY feel difference in your strength and…

I'm 194, 5' and 26. I burn about 289 on level one, sometimes more, just to give you an idea. Consider investing in an HRM (heart rate monitor). They are somewhat expensive, but amazon has some great deals. definitely shop around. Best of luck!!

Going to give this another try.... Weekly Goal: 4500 Mon: 0 calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: 0 calories burned (how they were burned) Wed: 981 calories burned (30 day shred level 1 (362) and strength training (619)) Thur:calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned)…

First of all--CONGRATULATIONS! You are doing SO well. I am really happy to see your take on these people's reactions. I am sure they meant well, but personally I think some of their reactions were misguided. I mean, that's beside the point, and as I said, I am SO glad you took it with a grain of salt, flipped it around and…

I've done this a few times before, and it kicked my butt. But I loved it! I realized today that I have not exercised in a month. Oh no!! So, I will begin this tomorrow. I am posting this for accountability. Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: calories burned (how they were burned) Wed:…
