=/ Sorry about that. I guess I need to update... I haven't followed MFP's suggestions (which is something like 1200 calories) almost since the beginning, so I didn't even know what my profile said I was trying to lose per week. Thank you to all who gave suggestions... it's nice to see the variety. I DO have to eat…

I can't stop laughing. My favorite part is how the guy beside him just... looks at him. He doesn't move at all.

Bump... :glasses:

Today there was a goodbye party at work for someone who is leaving... a lady brought her famous potato chip cookies. They sound strange, but they are some of the best cookies in the world. And I didn't eat even one. =D

I'm 5' 1-1/2" technically, but I claim 5'2" on drivers licenses, etc. =) I started in January at 152 lbs., and right now I'm 134.2. It has been very slow going, but as long as I'm losing instead of gaining, I'm okay. =) I have just realized that I can't be super strictly rigid... I am normally disciplined with what I eat,…

Yep... I'm on that day today. Running 20 minutes without stopping. I feel like I'm going to die just thinking about it... so I'm trying NOT to think about it, lol. I'm just going to put my running shoes on after work and get out there and see what happens...

bump so I can try later. =)

Mine is actually from a couple days ago... I ate lunch at a picnic table in a park, and sometimes it has pollen and stuff all over the benches. When I got back to work I checked my backside in the mirror in the bathroom to make sure it was clean... and realized that my dress pants are SO SAGGY in the butt now! They used to…

The jalapeno lime shrimp is very low, and some of the best food ever. I LOVE it... definitely worth ordering.

There is sort of a modified version, but it still hurts, lol. I'm just praying I'll survive another four days of it. I have bad knees to begin with, and the first circuit of strength is crazy hard on them. BUT! The harder it is to get through it, the more satisfying it is at the end, I suppose!

Yes, I am about to started Ripped in 30... this time I'm going to take measurements. =)
-
Great job! You are probably just bloated... I doubt you can lose that much progress that fast. Level 2 is super hard... you should be really proud of yourself!
-
Really? I will have to try that... that would make our lives a whole lot easier. We cook almost every meal, eating out VERY rarely, and it poses a whole new set of challenges when you have two people doing that.
-
Yes, It had me eating 1200. I am a bank teller with no kids, so I put myself at sedentary and then ate back my exercise calories. I tried that for a while and lost NOTHING, so that's why I went hunting down other places and upped it to 1400... that's when I finally started losing. Maybe I will go to 1300 and try that for a…

So, I shouldn't be losing any faster than I am at this deficit? Because I am pretty much at a standstill. Should I go to a bigger deficit? I'm not all about losing tons of weight super fast... I'm okay with slow & steady. It's just that right now, I'm pretty much at a standstill, and sometimes backwards. =(

This sounds like a lot of fun! I'd love to know more!

I love everything about breakfast. For whatever reason, I usually wake up hungry, so I'm excited to eat. And I love breakfast food. Restaurants like Denny's where you can order breakfast any time of day make me SUPER happy.

This. I've read it in like a million places on here, and it always makes me scratch my head.

I'm not sure. I suppose it would be pretty similar. I've been searching online for other formulas but I can't find anything. =(
-
Someone somewhere on here once posted that there is a formula... you burn 3.267 calories per pound per hour doing the 30 day shred (I don't know if that's the DVD you're doing, but I'm sure there are formulas out there for her other DVDs, too). So, you would multiply 3.267 by how many pounds you weigh then basically divide…

Um, yes. I gained about 5 lbs the week of my last one. I pretty much panicked for a little while... it's hard to truly believe it's just water weight when you've been working so hard...

I wash my hair every morning, because if I don't it looks, well, *interesting*, haha. But I don't workout until afternoon, and I found that if I shampoo twice a day my hair gets SUPER dry. So, after working out I just rinse it and then blow dry it... it actually gets nicely wavy and soft. I kind of like my post-workout…

This one. I am also 22, newly married (about half as long as you have been, though), and deal with some of the same things your wife does. My husband and I recently went through a little bit of counseling and it really helped me to pinpoint what is causing such problems for me... it all comes from my childhood and my…

I have a Weight Watchers brand digital scale... I love it. It doesn't do anything fancy, but it tells you your weight accurately. Honestly, I "inherited" it from my parents so I'm not sure how much it cost, but from searching them online I think they're in the $30-$40 range.

Ohh, yes. I am a BIG thrift store shopper. Unfortunately, my husband and I are REALLY pinching pennies so even buying clothes at Goodwill can be challenging. But bit by bit I'll do it! =D
-
I am 5' 1-1/2" (when you're this short you have to claim that half inch, haha). Started at 152 feeling very fat. I am currently at 142 and my "initial" goal is 130. I say "initial" because for now that's what I'm aiming for... depending on how I feel at that point, I may go on and try to get down to 125 or even 120.

I've always hovered around the upper "normal weight" and lower 'overweight" categories... Went to college where the caf food sucked, and started eating mainly pasta to survive... a lot of Chinese food, too. =) I also started walking/running more in college, too, which helped a bit, but my eating habits were setting me up…

I have the same problem. I lost 8 lbs to start with but have totally stalled out and can't seem to lose any more (I've been there for about a month). I've upped it to 1400... I guess we'll see what happens. I'm nervous. =P
