The "sedentary" activity factor on here is 1.2. That is, basically, couch potato. Or, for someone with a BMR of 1500, for their 16 hours awake only an extra 18.75 calories per hour to cover all their activity that isn't lying down. Very few people here fall into that category. In fact, I pretty much fill this description…

For fitbit Unless your android phone has the right type of bluetooth (see their website for the compatible models) you won't be able to sync it, as it requires a software download to do it on the computer. Something to bear in mind.

Aussie Bodies HPLC bars http://www.aussiebodies.com.au/product/hplc-bar/ I buy the caramel rough ones cos they have more fibre but they all seem to taste the same. Mmmm, steak. A steak is kinda hard to stash in my pocket and eat on the go at work though. I might leave a delicious mess all over the fabric  I don't…

I want to get back into running, I'm a little overweight, but nothing major (I'm well in "normal" clothing sizes) However, we live at the top of a really steep hill, and I'm not ready to run up and down hills yet. There's a plateau just a few minutes walk away that's around 675m to the end of the street and back, all on…

<50g dry usually does me but I find pasta one of the most filling things ever. On the nutritional info on the packs here, 1 "serve" is generally 100g dry or 170g cooked
-
No you did it right! You should always weigh stuff uncooked where it is practical. Pasta will absorb differing amounts of water, depending on how "done" you cook it. Al dente pasta will weigh less than the dry equivalent of fully cooked soft pasta, because it has absorbed less water. But the calorie counts will be the…

So many of these entries are way…

Your gut uses the enzyme lactase to break down the sugar (lactose) in milk Its very common, for our bodies to produce less lactase as we age, resulting in an intolerance. The resulting stomach pains, gas, loose bowel movements and distention is a result of it being broken down by bacteria in the intestines. Most people…

Just so long as the carpet matches the drapes. Oh, and shag pile and bare floors are a no go - a tidy low carpet is a must.

This show is great. (this is part 1, but all 6 parts are there) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIwJYRX4BjU Its been a couple of years since I watched it, but the gist was that they burned SO many more calories just day-to-day

1/3 is still pretty good odds though, right? Definitely worth your while./ If you were told your odds of winning the lottery were 1 in 3, you'd be buying a ticket for sure

plant some veges - grow your own! You can grow tomatos, lettuces, peppers etc all in pots on a balcony if you have limited space. Even just buy a bag of soil and plant the seedlings into Xs slit in the bag. But if you buy fruits and vegetables that are in season, they are cheap as. Maybe your household just needs to learn…
