I am not telling everyone but I am not keeping it a secret. When I lost the majority of my weight I told everyone to keep me accountable. Now I have the last few pounds I prefer to do it myself (with the help of MFP). My husband knows and I guess my work know because I am not touching chocolate anymore (very unusal for me).

Last week 157.2 This week 155.2 Very happy with a 2lb loss. My overall aim is 1/2lb a week. Been quite intense in exercise and was generally busy so the larger loss does not surprise me.

I have my first long spin class tomorrow. I usually do 1 hour and tomorrow is 1 and a half hours. Should be a good calorie burn.

Sorry I should have explained further. Other people who had a lower BMI than me had a higher fat percentage. I had a fairly high muscle percentage which was probably keeping my BMI higher.

I think that the BMI scale is a useful tool but not the only tool that should be used. If you have a lot of muscle then it is not going to be the right measure for you. Have you thought of getting your body fat measured? I had mine done in September and had a body fat of 21% (which is good for a female) however my BMI was…

I do think a family fitness activity is a wonderful idea. It will help bring you closer and keep you all fit. Maybe have her try out a few different activities. As a child I hated team sports but luckily I was good at running so that kept me thin. Exercise is really no fun when you hate the activity.

I count mine as I have a desk job, my daily walking (minimum 2 miles a day) is not part of the desk job.

A number of times on the show they have told people they had a small loss that week because they were not eating enough calories for the exercise they were doing. It can be hard for the contestants to grasp at times.

I am thinking of doing the 5k this year. Never done a 5k so it should be fun.

I recongise this! For me the trigger is boredom. I have stopped having junk food in my house but found distracting myself the most sucessful way of stopping it. Another way is to portion it out before you eat them. When you feel a snacking binge coming on just have that one portion.

I agree with you. I am not perfect at getting the balance right but I am eating fresh food a lot more now in order to try and get that balance. It also saddens me when people say they hate all fruit and veg so cannot have it. I mean it all tastes so different so how can someone hate all of it?

Last week 156.6 This week 157.2 I have no issue with the gain because the week before I lost 3lbs. My average loss is 1lb a week so I was just hoping to maintain this week anyway.

Well done. I feel exactly the same about the rowing machine. Been going over a year and still wont spend longer than 5 minutes on it. You did great and you should feel very proud.

Thats a fantastic loss. I am averaging 1lb a week and am really happy. Its a healthy way of losing it. Don't be discouraged.

I gained half a pound. I am not too upset about that as I lost over 3 lbs last week. Its a huge loss so was just trying to maintain this week.

I have found its become much cheaper. All the junk added up and now we are eating less.
