  • That would bug me too. Sometimes teachers do stop and watch but the whole time wouldn't be nice.
  • I didn't find they made any difference but they are super comfortable. Would never use them for jogging/running.
  • I have a garmin gps watch. Its a great tool. I use it for pacing too.
  • Weight doesn't bother me but I would want them to be fit and able to keep up with what they are teaching.
  • Be sure to drink lots of water when drinking. Dehydration wont help the weightloss. Plus it will help to avoid the hangover.
  • You don't need to diet for life but to keep the weight off you need to change your approach to healthy eating and exercise. That has to stick for life to maintain. If you go back to old habits it does all come back (and very easily from experience).
  • A diet which is no suitable for those who have less to lose. The biggest loser picks the largest people they can find. The diet is not suitable for most overweight people who have much less to lose.
  • As I said have a look at Sunshines recent pictures. Have a look at Eric. Read the interviews with them. They all say it. Its common sense that once you stop starving yourself and working out 7 hours a day you are going to gain weight.
  • Their diet is extreme but it does work for the morbidly obese. It wont work so well for those with less to lose. Most put on weight after leaving the house. Thats totally normal because the diet and exercise is unsustainable. Some manage to keep the weight off through healthy living and others gain most of it back. Looking…
  • For a start your net calories are far too low. To lose weight you still need to eat. If you are exercising a lot you need to fuel your body or you will burn out. Did you gain all that weight in 4 days? I seriously doubt it so do not expect to lose it in 4 days. Its a long term commitment and a lifetime commitment if you…
  • Big dogs don't tend to bother with me. The little ones seem to like the chase. It drives me mad because I am so worried about stepping on them or tripping over them. We both could get pretty hurt. The park states all dogs should be on a lesh but so many people don't bother. It is asking for trouble.
  • Heart rate monitor is great to work out your personal burn.
  • I am going to a free class next week for a womans running group so I can let you know afterwards.
  • Unless you are very very short you don't need to lose any weight.
  • I love Body Pump. Love it when I can up my weights too.
  • I did have the chart at home but lost it now. The general numbers are: Body Type Female Athlete <17% Lean 17-22% Normal 22-25% Above Average 25-29% Overfat 29-35% Obese 35+%

  • If most mobidly obese people ate very little, had a diet plan with no access to junk food and worked out 6+ hours a day then they would lose 10lbs a week too. Its not realistic for the average person. I always wonder about the excess skin from the fast weightloss. You notice after a certain point they stop taking t-shirts…
  • Yep. Getting body fat measured is a good way to determine healthy weight. People cannot make excuses on that one.
  • I agree with this. People don't always see overweight when they look in the mirror (I never did).
  • I agree that bmi is not right for everyone but almost all the photos I guessed correctly. Most overweight looked overweight and most obese looked obese. I am 5'8 and when I was 200lbs that was obese. I was in denial but to be honest it was the right diagnosis.
  • Not buying snacks. Saved a lot of money and then there is no temptation. Its good for the whole house not to have junk food available. Ignoring the sweets at work helps too.
  • Both are great. I lost a lot of my weight from walking/hiking. Obviously it takes a longer time to work off the calories but there is nothing like a long walk on a sunny day.
  • Don't lose the weight too quickly. I lost over 50lbs in 5 years and I still got a bit of flabby skin but not as bad as it would have been if I had of lost the weight quickly. Exercise is key too.
  • p.s. why not make your own pasta? That would be a good option to avoid giving it up altogether. Where abouts are you from. I am going to Florence soon and am very tempted to try some cooking classes there.
  • I have always found the Italian diet pretty good. You don't see many fat Italians. They are so passionate about the fresh ingredients. I love your country so much. The cities are just made for walking (that probably helps with the diet).
  • I was always under the impression the danger was having too much too quickly.
  • If we are discussing weight I will tell anyone. DH has always known.
  • I wouldn't worry too much then. Your maintenance weight might only be a 1lb or 2 anyway.
  • I reached my original goal and instead of maintenance I decided to knock another 10lbs off. Your maintenance weight will be slightly higher than your goal weight if you stop at your goal. Your body will naturally gain a few pounds when you start eating your maintenance calories. From what I have read its up to 5lbs which…
