Ok. First stab at consistency! Nov. 15th: 172.5 Nov. 20th: Nov. 25th: Nov. 30th
-
Simple goal, but tricky for me apparently.. Consistency! Tracking calories and lifting 3x per week. I’ll think about figures later :)
-
Great! Id be happy with 160 at the moment too ;-) How are you going about things?
-
And me. I am feeding a 5.5 month old boy atm  Losing slowly and comfortably.
-
I carry over calories, so over the week, I would have that extra and wouldn't worry about my treat. Although in your case, that is a really high number of calories to be under - why are you so far behind your target?
-
Careful with increasing potassium too much. Lethal ;-)

BTW Im 5'4" and currently losing weight on 1900 cal with bf but Im heavier and not exercising much yet. Previously, I was losing weight on 2400 cal with lifting weights, at more or less the same weight (170lb).

Think things are different when you have a toddler distracting you! You probably have less time for yourself now than you did last time too. I suppose the important thing is working with you now rather than comparing to the 'old you'. You are more accomplished now with 2 kids and a whole new set of management skills…

May be a number of reasons. You are a little older this time. Is your baby a different size? Was the pregnancy or birth different? Was your diet or exercise in pregnancy different? You may still have a diastasis recti which may make your tummy seem bigger.

To tone up, heavy weights is what Im hearing across MFP. Treadmill is more cardio, which is good for burning calories, heart muscle etc, but less good for looking 'toned'.

I don't have much more to add, but have to join in the chorus here... 5lb a week is a bad idea at most weights and you are pretty light. Where did you get your advice from? You have a new baby and they are relying on you taking in enough energy. 1200 calories is nowhere near enough, especially feeding 2! You will lose your…

I've just bought new scales too... they seem internally consistent but show 1.5 stone more than the previous
-
Very inspiring as your plan is about the same as mine (when i can lift again). My youngest is 4m
-
Surely intermittent fasting is based around a modified version of this and there is evidence to show that it may be actually beneficial.
-
Theres some groups for it too :-)
-
Hello! Ive just got back into MFP now my son is 4m. Fully breastfeeding and he won't take anything else ;-) I am planning on starting pilates tomorrow and maybe Jillian Michaels this week. Weights in the future. How have your plans been going?
-
Yup Id agree - if you have just started, its 1x5 deadlifts and 5x5 everything else
-
This would explain it for me too, thank you :-)
-
Living in the north east :-)
-
Thank you :-) I got my standard 3 month mother and baby check with the GP (I'm in the UK) but nothing comprehensive and the ob/gyn lost interest on day 4 :D I think I still have a diastasis recti, but no major hernia. Ill try keep a close eye on form. Its so frustrating not being able to do what I could!
-
Under 10.5 stone by August (25lb), able to start stronglifts again at some point. And a konmaried house ;-)

Real doctor? Sounds very odd to me
