aiming to lose 10lb! something with lots of cardio. should I start weight lifting?

It's just there's so much conflicting advice, some people saying to eat 1200, some saything thats too low, some saying to eat your BMR, some saying to eat your BMR plus the calories you've burnt. I just find it all so confusing I don't know which to follow!

Thankyou all so much for your advice! I get such conflicting things told though, some people saying to eat 1200, some saying thats too low, some saying I should eat back the calories I've burned, some saying I should eat my BMR. Its all too confusing haha! I guess I'll just have to try everything and see what works for me…
