  • I can't put my finger on what triggers me. Impulsiveness and eating makes me want to keep eating. Hunger is horrible because I know I need to eat, but then I don't have the wherewithal to stop eating. I have ADHD, so this is a big, big part of it. I'm on Vyvanse for the ADHD and it hasn't changed my eating much at all. I'm…
  • I'm starting over again now!! What a pain being hungry is
  • I think the body actively resists us. It's our coping mechanism for all kind of things and those are very hard to give up. I thought a break-up was your emotional issue (it's one of mine) now I've got the song stuck in my head.
  • Once hormones and genetics are done with you only BA surgery remains!! More important than size, though... how do they look? Everything I've heard is that they usually look much better with weight loss even if you do lose some size.
  • I sent a friend request! I'm a trans woman and mother of 3 (they call me "Mata"). They're young, though, so no firm word on their sexualities yet! My two eldest are almost certainly cis male and female and my youngest is 3 so her gender isn't certain yet. I was 45 lbs down pre-HRT, then back up 45 lbs during a very…
  • This can happen with too high potassium, too... especially if on a potassium sparing diuretic. I usually get this from not being hydrated enough. Make sure you're drinking water before bed and when you get up (to pee, probably )
  • I'm starting over too. There are a million things that can throw you off your lifestyle change if it's not set in stone. For me it was emotional eating and a medication that made me crave salt like mad (I literally could not taste salt). Families and kids can make things difficult too. There's no shame in the volatility of…
  • I can't say much more about your condition, but definitely see multiple doctors if one fails! I had a pretty terrible endocrinologist who was stuck in 1990's medicine which really messed with my head and body until I went to someone who kept up with their field.
  • You did better than me with my family and marriage! My father-in-law talked to me this past Sunday and asked if I was going to "finish" it... I told him I already had and made him ask about surgery more directly. Then I told him. (I wouldn't be going for an addadicktome procedure, myself, though )
  • <-- IDK that it's funny... I'm just trying to eat a little more like her. plus.... bunnehs.
  • You should post it because you're awesome, but that's the troll in me speaking. ;) I love the :hushed: reactions... Your transition is wonderful! You're also in good company! One trans man in my group and I often mention weight control issues and the emotional and medical problems of transition. I just updated my MFP…
  • Popcorn for me! There are some somewhat healthy options for microwaved... but making your own is best.
  • I'm 5'10. My GW is 170... I've been anywhere from 190-235 in the past couple years, and starting again now. This time I think I'll get there, but emotional stress and medications were tough on me in 2014. I don't know if I can go below 170. I'm very appley.
  • I am! :cookie: Most of my friends are, too
  • Oh, perfect then!
  • <-- My profile pic is nude!
  • I got a "my shift manager thinks your cute" at a coffee shop drive thru once... I was being very androgynous then so I didn't know just how it was meant, but it made me pretty happy at the time!
  • I do have some egg molds on my wish list now... hmm... bunny shaped hard boiled eggs sounds like an *excellent* lunch (and my kids would like them). I aim for 4-600 calories for lunch right now... but other than size your lunch looks great! I can see where practice could come in handy. I plan on just measuring and…
  • I love salad too. I just chop a whole head of romaine (a small one like from the 3 packs) and put it in a gallon zip bag. I add feta, chicken, etc., etc., and put dressing on it at work. It's nice 'cause you can shake the whole thing to distribute the dressing and eat it right from the bag.
  • ^ I was looking at the justbento.com site and they suggest using whatever boxes you can find. Bento specific ones are expensive (though certainly nice looking!) I love what she says about, at least with the 1:1:2 ratio (carbs, protein, veggies) the calories and container mL are about equal when packed. That would make…
  • I feel like I'd want to go all out and make them pretty enough... Otherwise anything I make the night before goes into a glass lock-n-lock container. I'm not too picky about foods touching  My salads just go into a zip lock. Shaking dressing on is very effective! ..... yet now I'm here drooling over the Laptop…
  • Hmm... Maybe I can teach my kids to make my lunches but my ex isn't about to start!
  • These are awesome!! It looks like so much work? How do you cut down on prep time?
  • I have a cheap spin bike that was about $200 on Amazon. It's very sturdy, but not portable. It's heavy and bulky. The more portable and foldable it is the less likely it will be designed for heavy riders. Even my heavy steel bike is up to 275 lb. I suspect it could support much more, but I'm not going to advise on that.
  • Aww... I have a very simple spin bike without a computer. Though I DO have to get on the damned thing. Er... need a new bike helmet :open_mouth:
  • ... those are where we do the arm curls, right?
  • Probably just a salad with meat leftovers. I'm DEFINITELY having lunch after dinner, though. That might put me just a bit over calories. http://www.mainebeercompany.com/our-beers/lunch/
  • Yeah... 4. Odd sizes are for juniors. It's for cut more than measurements.
  • My resolution is to bring balance into my life. This year was emotional and next year will be, too. I will be searching for a way to keep my head above water and bring balance to my eating and emotions.
  • My anxiety doesn't seem very strong, but I think it's one root problem with my over eating. Over eating quells the thoughts that won't stop... it helps me sleep. I'm seeing a doctor today and I'll be addressing anxiety and hopefully getting a natural medication to help. I'm looking into meditation to help with it too.
