If you are getting ready for an event like a wedding/party it might slim your down an inch so you feel more confident in your dress, but sadly this will be just water weight not actual fat loss.

I've done a few other of her DVDs and her moves seem to repeat a lot. You would be better off getting 2 more of her DVDs and use them on different days. Its a cheaper option.

I've done P90X at 230lbs, and while I didn't lose many pounds, I lost inches. I got smaller, not bigger. She must be eating more than she should. Insanity is more cardio than P90X, so she shouldn't be bulking. And if she is overweight like you mentioned, the weight should be melting off (IF she is eating right).

I won't recommend diet pills for you since you have 10-20lbs to loose. If you eat clean (no processed, artifical food, etc) you can loose at least 7lbs easy. Thank you all for the input. I think the weight is just right, but gloves are on my list right now. Callouses are not fun! @C4RL05 I think your form might not be proper. Make sure its coming from your hips and core. Your arms are just a follow through of the body movement. Or you could also be overtraining. Good Luck!

I forgot to measure myself but I have come down 2.6lbs since starting it next week. I'm also, obviously, being careful of what I eat but this has given me confidence. I forgot to measure but will do that on day 10 before starting level 2 and again before and at the end of level 3.

I agree with everything on this article. Maybe now that its an "article" more people will dispel many of the myths when it comes to exercising, like my personal favorite: women's shouldn't lift heavy, you will get bulky.

I tried to do it, it was a little to harsh on my knees and joints due to jumping but I by the time the workout was done, I was drenched and could hardly catch my breath. I think it was a good workout without using any kind of equipment.
