Hah, funny. I either exercise MORE to offset the plan for cookies OR I try to think "I'm too lazy to MAKE cookies." Before I know it, another day is here and either it is another craving or again, I exercise to PLAN for those cookies!!!

If they went the surgical route, they most like lost it a LOT faster than the diet and exercise way and therefore have much more loose skin that you will.

Been there done that. This time was so different for me though. I tried to do the same thing when my youngest turned about a year, I think, and things weren't coming off like before. I was completely distressed. Then while at my son's karate class, another mom pulled me into her kung fu class and I LOVED what they did.…

So I am from Gainesville Florida.

Kung fu!!

Well, I've always been a water drinker. Main reason is my mom had two choices unsweet iced tea or water when growing up. I chose water. So it is just my go to drink for when I'm thirsty. Anyway, I've noticed than on a day when I go overboard on the soda, I feel terrible. The next day I will drink a lot and basically flush…

okay so this requires a wee bit of cooking on a stove. But if you make a lot, then it is great cold. Some diced onion, diced fresh tomatoes and cilantro or arugula(I prefer the taste of cilantro over arugula, but that is a personal taste thing) minced garlic and red wine vinegar and olive oil. Get your pan nice and hot,…

I agree with this! And I prefer the elliptical. It is just more fun for some reason. I really want one in my house.

That happened to be after my second kid and I didn't lose ground, or gain ground. I just remember resuming my exercising and keeping an eye on my cals. At that time, I was still nursing so that may have played a large role. Good luck

broil with lots of seasoning, either a marinade and basting that sauce over and over or a cajun dry seasoning liberally added.

I want in!! I am 5'1 and 1/2 and stuck at 145. I do eat some of my exercise calories and I try to underestimate my exercise calorie burn. I wish I knew what they actually are, but I can't justify the expenditure of a HRM and even then people have complained they are not always accurate. Anyway, my activity is kung fu,…

I think 5 lbs of LARD and pile it on a plate. I bet that would be a REAL visual for you. Five lbs of hamburger makes me think of making meatballs or something, just sayin.

Turbo sweat all over someone. Now that is a punishment!!!
-
Oh and try broiling your veggies. I am SERIOUS. It makes them taste soooo much better than steaming or boiling or even sauteeing.
-
good info, Thanks. I'm always skeptical on how much I burn and round down the time. I don't have an HRM, but if my heart rate is steadily high for such and such time, I try to put that time in. The time that I'm active but not huffin and puffin, I round down by half and am hoping I am doing the right thing. The whole…

If you like eggs, make some deviled eggs or boiled eggs for something portable and handy. You can make a lot in advance. Cook extra meat (I find chicken to be easiest) at a time so that you have healthy meat to grab and wrap up. Nothing will stop me faster than having to cook it before you snack on it. Start thinking meat…

I'm so sorry!! Don't let it defeat you. You did it before so that means you can do it again!!

Amazing!!

Maybe you should be more clear as to who YOU are beating up or NOT beating up. Are you really intending to lump everyone on here as those who criticize you or are you trying to tell a personal anecdote as to something you have experienced. Because I for one have NEVER said my journey is harder than yours. My journey is my…

YES, I see the same thing happening in your future. Be strong and avoid the up and coming cake ;)

Awesome job!!!

I love to broil my food, like broccoli, squash, etc. w/ a little spray oil with salt. Chicken and pork chops turn out great broiled with some cajun seasoning all over it. Easiest meals ever to make and uber healthy and broiling makes everything taste so good. As for what to buy, buy whatever fruit is in season and you…

That was my problem, too. It really works and it works really well for some people. If I am inactive, it works well, NOT really well. I think I am a carb person. I have all kinds of weaknesses, dizziness, heart palpitations, tummy aches, etc. when I am exercising and doing high protein, low carb. If I keep my carbs between…

High protein diets do dehydrate your body and I'm not saying that to be negative. You just have to drink more. With the strength training and the high protein you could easily have lost MORE and only a portion be the water. Great job, though. I always think of the loss of water weight as a peek at my true body weight, even…

Well, when I was pregnant, I was told to put your feet above your heart. Salt increases edema and drinking plenty of water helps it.
