  • I like to drink unsweetened ice tea. I usually do a mixture of 4 green tea bags, 2 white tea bags, and 1 harvest strawberry & passion fruit tea bag. The combination is AMAZING! Try experimenting with different combinations of fruit water - use your favorite fruits to ice water and let chill in the fridge. I love drinking…
  • Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement! I am looking forward to having you all on my friend list!
  • I'm in the same boat as you. I cannot in any way shape or form get behind eating fish. Everyone tells me its so good for you, low in calories, blah blah blah. I feel a great deal of guilt because not only do I hate the taste, the smell alone makes me so sick. My husband used to love fish, shrimp, sushi, crab. I can't allow…
  • Thanks for the add! I'm actually from MO too. I live in WA now but grew up in MO so that's kinda neat. :)
  • If your only concerned with calories burned and not distance/pace then I would invest in a heart rate monitor that keeps track of calories. You can also use it for other activities as well. :) Good Luck
  • Hi Everyone! My name is Kimberley and I'm 24, 5'2" and current weight 200. I will be turning 25 in Sep and would LOVE to lose 40 lbs to celebrate my birthday and also Halloween.
  • Brownies!!!!!! Nom nom nom
  • Lets assume they were already awesome... just not awesome looking? They support each other, encourage each other, and hopefully change into not so chubbies together so they can have an awesome long healthy life together. Only not so awesome chubby who turns into non-chubby leave first chubby for a new non-chubby

  • I haven't tried stevia as a mix in... but I (sometimes) treat myself to a Dr. Zevia. Which is zero calorie all natural soda that contains stevia. I really like it mostly probably because I had a huge Dr Pepper/sugar addiction. They make lots of different flavors too. *Shrugs* not for everyone though.
  • Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I do tend to try and learn everything at once and not just take it one day at a time. I'm adding in exercise with Jillian's Front Side for Beginners and right now I'm off to learn what "macros" are because I've never heard the term before except on this site.
  • Bump, thanks for the recipe!

  • Hey Lady, You've come so far from when you started until now. If the scale depresses you, put it under the sink and forget about it. Its not always what the scale reads that is important. You want to FEEL healthy too. Just try and cut out all the garbage food that you've been eating recently and take a trip to the grocery…
  • This may help you, I don't know. For me to lose weight I had to start planning healthier meals and snacks. I'm a foodie and I loooove to eat so I only cook enough for myself and my husband. I used to make probably enough food for 3 to 4 meals and we would always go back for seconds... or thirds... Well my husband is not on…
  • Thanks everyone, these are some awesome ideas! I'm working on my portion control but its been hard. (I grew up in the south, nuff said) Making spaghetti squash-sagna and zucchini tots for dinner! http://www.mykitchenaddiction.com/2009/12/spaghetti-squash-sagna/ http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/07/zucchini-tots.html
  • Hey! I'm 5'2 and started MFP at 217 lbs. Right now I'm at 204. I know this isn't a "success story" YET because I'm just starting out in my journey. I've tried to lose weight my ENTIRE life off and on and nothing seemed to work and honestly I think its because I was looking at it in a complicated way. With MFP I have…
  • Thanks everyone! I feel much better now. Before MFP I used to consume and horrendous amount of calories without noticing it. No wonder it was so hard for me to stick to 1200 calories. I thought if THIS is what it takes to lose weight I'll never get there because 1200 felt like such a core trying to even find foods that…
  • Hey Everyone! I'm at 206 right now and started my journey at 217. I'm a shortie 5'2. I'd LOVE to see the 190's again since the last time I was the small was 6 years ago. I'm always looking for motivation since this has been a really hard journey for me. I lack self control and am a sugar addict.
  • I had trouble with this a while back also. I'm horrible on a diet and really have no idea to eat, so I decided chicken. Almost every time I cook chicken though I want flavor, so I marinade it. I started just logging the whole marinade ingredients in the recipe section which started adding up quickly. I use olive oil for my…
  • Thanks. I do need to get a scale I'm just trying out the recipe calculator on here. Thanks guys.
  • Thanks for posting! I love brownies and will be making these over Thanksgiving.
  • I'm starting to realize that I should have chosen a job field much earlier in life. I'm 24 now and a cashier at Target. I got married at 18 and loved being a stay at home wife, taking care of my husband. People ask my why we don't have kids and its honestly because I am not ready nor do I want any yet. Saying I like to…
  • I find that eating a sugar free frozen fruit bar helps. I get some Dryer 's brand for 25 calories each. Different boxes have different flavors in them. I don't know if its the healthiest but they usually take me 5 mins or so to eat without getting a brain freeze and when I'm done I've usually forgotten about my craving. I…
  • You don't even look like the same girl anymore! You look totally amazing! Congrats on all your hard work!
  • I work as a cashier at a retail outlet. I'm usually scheduled to work 8 1/2 hours including lunch. I stand all day except for lunch and breaks that equals around 1 hour. I also have to walk the front of the store picking up unwanted items and stuff like that. Also when I close I usually take carts of items back out to the…
  • Thanks guys! I know this is a long journey ahead of me, do I expect it to be easy? No. Since I've never had much luck before with my weight, hopefully when I see a change I'll start adapting to a more "I can do this" attitude. I don't want to just be a couch potato and set around inside all day but cut calories to lose…
  • Opps... I'm snacking on some reduced fat cheezits right now:ohwell: I logged it though, and counted out the right amount.
