  • I would love to join the challenge. Is it too late to join? Thanks.
  • I recently made the transition to Vegan. I thought I would feel deprived but I feel great. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. I live in a smaller city right now (moving as soon as possible from the beach to the big city yeah) so finding other vegans to share recipes and support with is very difficult. So…
  • I love a loaded baked potato as well but now I load mine a little differently. I use these items: -chopped up green onions (raw) -chopped mushrooms (raw) -chopped jalapeno (raw not from a jar, for a little kick) -Nutritional Yeast (this has a buttery, cheesy flavor and excludes the need for, of course, cheese and butter)…

  • It is a gamble. If the marriage is something you are willing to gamble with and are prepared to lose over random sex then by all means do it. This is just my opinion but I would not gamble with something that I truly valued.
  • It is true that anyone can develop an allergy at any stage in life. However, you may have a similar problem to mine. I have cut back on all milk products and starting consuming almond milk and lactose free products. Now when I consume milk products I pay for it. It actually makes me physically ill. I don't think I have…
  • I usually have three egg whites cooked with one tablespoon of bacon bits and two mushrooms. Use a nonstick pan instead of cooking sprays or oil. Serve with sliced green onions, a quarter of an avocado, a tablespoon of salsa, a tablespoon of light sour cream on top. It is great. It is filling and healthy.
  • I have a similar situation with my husband. He is one of those individuals that can eat what ever he wants and never gain an ounce. I asked him once why he keeps offering me food that he knows I am not suppose to be eating. He says because he thinks I am beautiful just the way I am, therefore, he does not see the urgency…
  • 1970's baby here! :) :drinker:
  • I monitor my caloric intake as well as what types of foods I am consuming. I keep a balance between proteins, carbohydrates, and etc. because I want not only to be fit but healthy as well. This, I have found, is more of a priority since I reached over forty. My skin, body, and pretty much everything else reacts a great…
  • Hi there. So what program are you following? I just got back on the weight loss wagon recently with the P90X program. I know it is sometimes hard to stay motivated and on track while dealing with the stress that being involved with a Marine can bring ( i.e. deployments...). I am with you on this one! Let's get started…

  • I weigh myself everyday as well. I find it helps me to stay on target, motivated, and helps me adjust my workouts or eating on a daily basis. I just try not to let it discourage me if the scale does not change or goes up a pound. But that is not easy either. For right now, the weighing everyday has helped me personally.
  • I am 5'4" as well and I have just started losing weight but my ideal weight is about a 135 to 140lbs. I really think everyone's ideal weight is affected by the way they are personally built. For example, I have a 48DD chest which has never dropped below a 40D even at my lowest weight of 113 lbs. Since I do not want to look…
  • I too have been getting off and on the MFP Wagon. I usually end up falling off and straight on to a carbohydrate. Emotional eating is one of my biggest problems. The stress in my life is not going to stop so I too have made peace with the fact that I have to get control of my eating regardless of my stress levels. I would…
  • I know the feeling. I have been at this for only a short time and I could use all the encouragement I can get. I have at least seventy pounds left to lose but, ultimately, I would like to lose about one hundred pounds. I will try to keep you motivated and you can do the same for me. Add me if you would like to. Hang in…
  • My husband is a Marine.
  • I am a 41 year old Marine wife. I have hit that stage where I am too old to be young but too young to be old. My weight, however, is making me feel every bit of my age. I have gained seventy pounds over the last couple of years and these pounds have stuck to me like crazy glue. This is why I am trying, again, to adopt a…
  • Hi. I know how frustrating it can be to not have the support you need. It sure helps to have someone to keep you upbeat and on track. I am here for you. You can add me if you like.
  • Hi. I tried this site a long time ago but found myself having trouble finding people who were in the same boat as me. I too have found it difficult to nearly impossible to lose weight over the past couple of years. I am not giving up though. I figured if I could find someone who was in the same boat as me it would be…
  • I know what you mean. I need someone that can help motivate me and someone I can motivate in return. I am dead serious about dropping my weight. That of course means an every day accountability to myself which is not always the easiest thing for me. So if you want to Pal Up please let me know. Hang in there.
  • I have a weakness for potato chips, too. I usually substitute rice cakes (ranch flavored Quaker brand is good) as a substitute for ranch flavored Doritos.
