jumping rope develops rythm, hand eye coordination, footwork/balance, and explosiveness. Boxer, ball players, and dancers love jumping rope.

I'm rarely hungry but strong black coffee is the best appetite surpresser

Budweiser select 55, 55 cals per 12oz bottle, 2.4% alchol. I drink them all the time, taste pretty good. Coors light has the best taste at 100 cals.

the truth is; tiger balm and other ointments only distract you from the soreness, it actually does nothing for the soreness. I'm not knocking it. It's better than popping pills. cold/hot therapy and massages are better options.

Well i careful. Late night workouts can mess up your deep sleep pattern, which is just as vital to your weight loss as working out.

1. Take a series of Glucosamine. Drink plenty of water with it. 2. Get a bag of frozen peas. After your workout, place it on your knee for (2) 5 minutes session. 3. avoid doing back to back days of the same activities like basketball or volleyball. 4. Be careful with Ibuprofen, did not take it for more than a week. 5. As…

swim or bike. If the bike is boring get the best play list you find.

Whenever I eat away from home, whatever it is, I eat only half and save the rest for the next day. I don't trust the potions sizes or the calories counts.

I'm very active. I will go to the gym a burn 1800-2000 calories per workout between cardio and basketbal. I rarely ever drink that much water. maybe 1 or 2 bottles a day, max. I do eat 2-3 bannanas so that might help.
-
Both. but make sure you have fan with cardio. Good playlist and interesting workouts like the mini-tri or heavy bag or skiiping rope.
-
Yes! Cardio is the foundation of my program. One great work out is the mini-tri. 16 laps in the pool, 10 miles on stationary bike, and 3 mile jog. 2 hours, I burned almost 1600 cals. Buring off body fat allows your cuts to show. Lifting is great also, especially, squats, bench, and deadlifts.
-
Keep it simple. Every time you go to the gym look to burn 500 calories doing cardio. Mix in weights but cardio should be the basis of your program. The bike, tread mill, and rotating steps are great. If the machince does not ask your weight and take your heart rate avoid it. This will make sense later. Work within you…

A calories is a calorie is a calorie. If you have to drink, avoid mixed drinks (with juices and coke, ect). These are high calorie traps. Do drink shots preferably whiskey. Its easier to count those drinks. About 75 cals per shot. Lastly, Miller makes a 55cal beer and Bud makes a 64 cal beer. So, if your working out…

Do whatever keeps you inspired. When i'm feeling good and have 2-3 hours , I try to burn 2000-2500. but when i have only 45 minutes then 500-600 is a great goal.

please avoid pain killer if possible. A s you lost weight and shape up the pain will decrease. try hot /cold baths and foam rollers. Pain killers are exactly that killers!

My gym is open both x-mas eve and x-mas, I think I'm going to wake early and burn 1500 calories on each day and then go home and eat whatever is on the holiday buffet.
-
Yes! Just be mindful is the sugar, sweetners, and cream.

This is great! I've been looking for a cool, simple, effective way to do a Calisthenics. I just printed week 1 of the push ups and sit ups. I'm going the do pull ups also. Here's the link: http://twentypullups.com/node/1

I do at least two sets of 45-60 mins of high intensity cardio (Basketball, cycling, 400m sprints). I lift heavy (max out) once a week, usually on Sunday. I also go light, one set (half my max) with very high reps (50-60) on Friday. My goal is building explosive, fast twitch musles. Along with that I'm losting weight and…

Yep! try several competitive sports. Basketball, volleyball, tennis etc. Don't worry if your not good initially because the competition will push you to get better and force your to workout (weight room/track). Good luck and have fun!

Just like mlclarke22 stated, change things up. Chronic tendonitis in my launch knee (basketball) was my enemy, I changed up and started swimming and cycling. As the pounds came off, the tendontis went away and now I can hoop again. Good Luck.
-
@Cwyman that's a great rule of thumb. I over estimate the food by 10% and underestimate the excercise by 10%. Some of the PALS would have to be world class athlete's to burn the cals they claim
-
Wow! Some of these numbers are extraordinary. I guess I need to start actually cycling. I ride a stationary bike for an hour and burn between 750-800. (6'0"-205) I love riding because give me the benefits without having extreme stress on my knees.

It's been mentioned above but I emphasis: drink plenty of water before your workout, get protein in your sytem quickly after your work out, and soreness is part of the process of fitness but hot/cold baths and foam rollers will help eliminate the lactic acid from your muscles quicker. Good luck.
