  • Yes! I slip back and forth all the time! I am just returning after some slipping. I always preach about finding that "reset" button! I love what gcpower said about "competing priorities". It's so true! I start feeling overwhelmed with work, laundry, food journaling, keeping up with the house and lawn, bills, getting in the…
  • GOOD LORD YES! As they say......''.weight loss is a journey. Not a destination' Or maybe it's fitness. But you catch my drift. Being mindful of your weight and fitness is a constant through life. You never get to a goal and then you can quit. I lost 56 lbs when I was 24. Kept it all of till in my late thirties. then gained…
  • I'm 5' 4" and 42 years old. Have definitely noticed getting thicker around the middle with age and when losing weight (at any age) my belly has always been the last to go! I recently started weight training at my YMCA 3 days a week and it has made a world of difference! Started out slow, but once I started building muscle…
  • I have heard this too. And I do love to eat and tend to over exercise. Whether it is or whether it isn't an eating disorder I don't care. For me it's necessary and it's what works. And I'm glad I am willing to put in the extra effort than let my weight and health decline get out of control. Don't worry about what "They…
  • Walking is exercise! I work in a hospital and I go to wal mart. I see many very ovr weight people who can barely walk across the room. Or very obese people ride through the store in carts. Ask those people if walking would be a work out for them? If these people would/could have walked 30 minutes a day everyday I bet they…
  • The Good Lord saw fit to kick my legs out from under me! lol
  • I've not seen it myself, but If she says it was said somewhere here by someone then I believe it. Before my injury I would have never said it out of politeness, but boy did I sure think it!!! I didn't know what was wrong with these sissies! Just go for a little walk and don't know why they can't get in awesome shape! They…
  • Thank you so much for posting. I have always been hard core when it came to cardio exercise. Would run for no less than an hour. My favorite was seeking out the biggest steepest hill I could and tear it up! Loved to cardio dance with as much energy as I could and was an instructor. Then on October 4th, while instructing, I…
  • Your face! Show some more of that!
  • Your dark complexion and hair! (I had to look at some other pics!)
  • For SURE in Phantom of the Opera! Good Lord!
  • I feel I can honestly say I will never cheat, but I give the credit to my husband. Who, by the way, is cute to me but kind of nerdy. And doesn't have an ounce of muscle on him. But he thinks I'm pretty great and is always attentive to me. Sometimes to the point of driving me crazy!!! lol I use to think I would never cheat…
  • I use to think that job would be heaven! But going from full time to part time has landed me all the house hold responsibilities since I'm home more.......AND I HATE IT!!!!!!! It NEVER ends!
  • Was full time in a State Institution for MR/DD for 18 years. Recently quit and now I'm a part time aide in our local Hospital. Don't know which job I like better yet.
  • Well said. Nice post.
  • Thank you so much for posting the web site!

  • Thanks! and you're right about the poor food choices. Sometimes when I drink and get a good buzz on I'll put a bunch of potato chips on a plate with green olives and onions and melt a bunch of cheese on it in the microwave! lol That's something I haven't done in the last week of not drinking!

  • Did well with my calories yesterday. It's amazing how much less water I have in my legs after one day of eating right and not stuffing myself!
  • Ew. Didn't know about the throat cancer.

  • When to the store today. Got my fresh produce of choice to help keep me eating right and started journaling. Hopefully I will have good things to report come Monday!
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE to run! I get that "runners high"! I have to have my Mp3 player though. I like to blast some power tunes and run up the longest steepest hill I can find! Unfortunately I have also developed chronic inflammation in my feet. As long as Im moving I'm fine but as soon as I stop for a while I can't hardly walk…
  • When I read that first paragraph I couldn't believe how much it sounded like me when I was trying to quit smoking! I guess that's how the compulsive mind that craves instant gratification works no matter what your poison is! By the way, that way of talking to myself works for me too! lol
  • I once heard a lady on TV talk about that mind set. She said to think of your calories like money. If you realized you just way over spent your money you wouldn't say "Oh well, might as well go blow the rest of what I've got!" You would stop! I thought that was so smart! I do the same thing! Fall into that "All or nothing"…
  • Yes. I have watched porn with my husband. Matter of fact.......we were recently talking about if I get this new 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to park it somewhere, drop the seats in the floor and watch some porn on the DVD player! lol But when I was in my early 20's and overweight I would have NEVER had done that! I…
  • Ha Ha HA!!! I can't believe I didn't know what you were going to say! Actually That's the first part of my last name which is Luebke and it's pronounced "Lube-key" lol
  • Oh no! Go ahead!
  • Yeah we kind of got off track there a little:)
  • AND OUT OF RESPECT YOU DON'T *kitten* TO PORNO WHEN THE 22 YEAR OLD MOTHER OF YOUR CHILD IS IN BED GETTING HER HEART BROKE!
