I feel your pain! I think I gained approximately 10 pounds over Christmas. Too much indulging and no exercise did not help. Add me! I have been running for almost a year. Completed my first half marathon a few months ago and had my best time ever. During inclement weather I run on the dreadmill but on the weekends I try to get out for a long run. I lift weights 4x per week too to balance my running! Love another motivating friend!

1/2 cup rolled oats, 40 grams each of raspberries and blackberries, scoop of protein powder and 1/2 cup milk. Keeps me full for most of the morning and only 359 calories!

How true it is but on bodybuilding.com I read to do lifting first and cardio after. I have tried it both ways and it sucks both ways but I like the strength training more than cardio so I try to always get it in first!

I started walking and fell in love with running so I do it several times per week. I would say is stick with what you like to do and if that is walking I say go for it and do what you love to do. The best exercise is the one we do consistently!

I love bodybuilding.com and they provide videos examples and routines. Love stronglifts too instead of NROLFW (New Rules of Lifting for Women) - I thought it was really complicated myself.

You can try stronglifts 5 x 5, talk to someone at the gym like a trainer for assistance on form, search online for numerous videos for lifting and form, read articles on bodybuilding.com. The information is out there, you just need to search for it! Hope this helps you!
