Thanks. I understand what your saying about carbs, maybe I can try limiting my carbs to see if that can help.

Thanks for the feedback. I have tried to use MFP's model for several months but I can't live on 1200 calories, not my thing and not as much as I exercise. I don't eat back my exercise calories and I follow the simple road map to figure out using various calculators how much I should be eating, burning, BMR etc...I will…

All great replies so thank you for taking the time to respond. My diary is now open. The only liquid I drink is water so I am getting plenty of water. I try and watch my sodium and I track it. I don't have cycles - ovarian cancer took care of that a long time ago. According to my doctor I should be in the 120-130 pound…

You can also escalate it through the Better Business Bureau - We had similar issues with a brand new Kia and we filed through them....

I am doing stronglifts 5 x 5 three times per week and I usually run 5-6 days per week taking one day off everything for a complete rest day. My lifting is improving (only been doing this for almost two weeks) and my running has definitely improved. I experieinced some soreness when I first started but I have been focused…

Agreed different brands have different tastes, small curd versus large curd (eeewww!!) Full fat (ugh!!!) versus low-fat, all dependent on your own taste buds, but really if you don't like it after trying it then maybe cottage cheese is not your food.

I like pineapple in mine. Others I know add it to a lettuce salad, add other fruits like peaches or pears to it. Hope this helps!

Let's see I LOVE ice cream and bread and you want me to combine them??? YUMMY!! Love to try it but afraid I will be come addicted!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I am an ice cream junkie and I understand no portion control with ice cream. I would have her grab you a skinny cow or frozen yogurt of your choice and then she can have her ben and jerry's ice cream. Both of you are getting a treat, but your is going to be a better choice!

When I was on Weight Watchers (several months ago) our leader cautioned us to eat fruits and vegetables in moderation even though most of them are "free" on their points system. I tried to make lunch and dinner the most colorful by using lots of different veggies and used fruits for my treats.

I've been very lucky that my husband has supported me non-stop in this process. I was about 100 pounds overweight and one day I realized it, ugh! I started walking 2 miles every day, then started cutting out the junk foods, eventually I started cooking healthy dinners, exercising more etc..my husband joined right in and…

I run at 5am on the treadmill at home several times per week and go to the gym after work before my spouse gets off so I can still be home in time to cook supper for us.

That si an AWESOME feeling. That darn scale doesn't always tell the whole truth! WTG!!

In honor of the 4th of July holiday, I had an idea to see how many of the states in the U.S. are represented on MFP. Here's the list of the states. What I want you to do is quote the list, then tell me what state you are representing in your response. Inside the quote, subtract or delete your state from the list. Let's see…

I had low back problems and hip problems so painful after I lost the weight and I went o the chiropractor and a PT, said my core was too weak etc..but nothing helped! Finally did some research online and found several stretches that I now do religiously and it worked and I am pain free!

Just for today I will remember I am not perfect and don't need to strive for perfection in my eating and exercising routine. Just for today I will be proud of what I accomplished. I really love the "Just for today" mantra. I am going to try and stick with this for a while and see if I can get through my weekends without…

Absolutely! I get so close to my goal and then I blow it and eat up everything in site. I always give myself cheat meals, I know I can eat anything within moderation so I don't eliminate specific foods, but it seems when I am so close to my goal I blow it and then I have a huge guilt and try to start over. I have repeated…

I just started stronglifts 5 x 5 and I usually run most mornings. I am hoping to gain some muscle and hopefully firm up my flab!

A couple of good recipes that we like for breakfast are Tutti - Fruiti Muesli - add 1/2 c of vanilla yogurt, 1/4 c old fashioned muesli, 1/2 apple, 1/2 banana - mix together and it is a nice filling breakfast. Another one I really like is chop up a small apple, use almond milk, add a little granola on to and voila,…

Ditto! It helped me not to eat in front of the TV or reading something because then I was mindlessly eating.

Ok, I eat yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, lean meats etc.. for extra protein as well as protein shakes on occasion. Does anyone know a way to see the macros via a graph in MFP? I can see the graph showing the macros I am eating while viewing via my phone but no on the computer...any ideas?

You look marvelous!!! Wow! What an inspiring change. Congrats to you for your dedication!!!

OMG!! My husband and I did one about 3 weeks ago. It was only about 60 degrees out, pouring rain, windy as all heck and we had a BLAST!!! It was so slippery, we slid on our butts down hills, trying to get up them was another trick in itself. Mud Runs are all about the experience, not how fast or far you can run. Take your…
