I would find that so condescending if my spouse told me that he was "nagging me for my own good".

i don`t understand exactly what you are hoping to hear... 2lbs a week is far too aggressive for the amount you have to lose... no one in their right mind is going to suggest a VLCD.... you have a personal trainer for a son.... what are you hoping to hear from strangers on mfp exactly...
-
why 7 weeks... just curious.

Oh man, don`t feel silly at all... seriously. Sometimes people confuse replies for snarkiness when really they come from experience... Glad to hear that you are not going back to the clinic.

[quote="BuddhaB0y;34956399"]Ok just have to say.... It's through not threw! Threw = I threw the ball Through = I'm going through something That said, you have to start making changes for yourself and not let him distract you. Hopefully he will come around as he sees you losing weight and want to join you. I have been…

Yep. Lots of us on here do this. I couldn`t tell you how much sugar I consume... but when I do, it is primarily `natural sugars`from fruit rather than processed food.

I used to be the very same way... I personally find that weighing everyday is helpful... but only once... only first thing in the morning. I don`t get freaked out by the number anymore now that I have learned more about fluctuations, but that took time. One thing that helped me was tracking my weight TRENDS... there are…

Hello and welcome. Muscle, while it doesn`t weigh more than fat (a pound = a pound) it is more DENSE than fat. When you start working out (if lifting weights) your body will store more water as it repairs the muscle. good luck!

This This This... Such a great post. And true... My 80lbs has taken me 3 years... COULD i have done it quicker? Sure. Did I WANT to do it quicker? Absolutely... but this has worked for me. All the best to you OP. You have gotten some good feedback so far.

Sorry you fell ill... but the good news is that your money is not wasted. You can still eat the food you bought using MFP... I am down 80 lbs using MFP and I eat everything.

I got a fitbit charge last year and it has been great for me. This year I got the Aria scale and I like it also

Welcome! I started this journey at 270lbs... 3 years ago. Today I am 198 and still losing. Patience and time... time and patience but totally totally doable.

K... I am in.... but might I suggest you make your PP plan into some kind of MLM and watch the cash flow in! :)

love it

Could you do the same thing for free? Track on MFP and find work out videos on youtube?
-
and you want options about it? What kind of options?

I kind of prioritize mine. I always try to hit my protein goal... I look at that number as an "at least". I try to hit my fiber goal (I track fiber instead of sugar). I aim for my fat goal but it isn't one I get nutty about (no pun intended).... and fill the rest with carbs. Hope that helps.

Honestly it sounds dreadful.

meh... I go through spurts where I stop logging... but then I always gain and I log again. I also log when I go way way way over my cals... I would not call it "cheating" because I am not accountable to anyone but me...
-
Pre logging my day rather than logging what I ate after I ate it.

You. Are. Awesome. Good choice. And good luck to you! Slow and Steady..... Slow and Steady and you will be AMAZED.

Not to beat the dead horse... but you are soooooooo not alone. I think many of us have been there. One thing that may be helpful for the next few days is to stop beating yourself up... but use this week as a time just to look at it. Not act, not react... but collect data... start a new habit. Without restricting just get…

Hello I think the cal goal is low... I am 5'3 and 198lbs... Mygoal is 1500. At 240 my goal was higher... At that rate i am losing 0.5-1 lb per week.
-
Have never tried it... would never try it.

I love calorie counting... I was one of those people who never understood WHY I was gaining weight... thought that "i barely eat anything... how am I gaining???"... and then I started tracking and realized how MUCH I was actually consuming... and how poor my nutrition was. Almost 80 lbs later it has CHANGED my life.
-
... it sounds awful. What is Saxenda?
-
I wouldn't trust any "weight loss" website that has a tab for supplements.... that can't spell the word "supplement"

I am down 70 lbs.... it took 3 years. patience and time... time and patience.
