I also have an aria scale and love it. I feel the same as you about not viewing it as a "good" or "bad" number

Hello I weigh every day. This works for me. But that said i really only track my weight weekly.

Last year I severely restricted myself and was MISERABLE! And then this past summer I lived it up and gained weight anyways, but still remember how MISERABLE I was at Christmas. This year my plan is going to be to eat at my maintenance (about 2200 for me), not go overboard, but enjoy the couple of days with family, friends…

Yep... I have felt that way. Have lost 70lbs... but it has taken close to 3 years. Patience and time, time and patience.

hated it. did it in 2007. HATED it

Good for you for recognizing that you needed some help... that is a hard hard thing to do. You have spoken very honestly here and seem to really want to be healthier. I wish you nothing but the best.

Ya, it is tricky. When I decided to lose weight (starting weight was 268 lbs) I had been big all my life... I have lost 70 lbs so far. For a long time my goal was really just to get under 200 lbs... and now I am just setting goals in 5lb increments. Spouse has been really supportive but some others have not been - even tho…

+1 +1 +1... This this and all of this!

I would like to lose 3-5 lbs by Christmas
-
i generally gain 4-5 lbs in the days before my period but it disappears again a few days later I do crave salty and chocolate.

Great Post op!!!! It can be slow for sure.... Has taken me 2.5 years to lose 71 lbs.... But hell.... I lost 71 lbs
-
strong first post. *golf clap* but seriously, if you want to tout the benefits of this stuff, why revive a year old thread.... why not just start your own?
-
Hello and welcome. I believe that the recommended rate is 2 lbs per week. Congrats on your loss!
-
yep.... this.... all of this
-
why would you feel guilty? One of the things that one need not do is to assign a moral value to food... there are no good foods or bad foods.... just foods. Some have higher calories, some have less... just make it work with your deficit and you will be okay.
-
if you aim for 1 lb a week ideally it would take 40 weeks... but because weight loss isn't linear it can vary from person to person. I have lost 71 lbs over 2.5 years.

i want to lose 10 lbs by Christmas.

i love my fitbit charge.

Yep... My day one was this: In Jan 2013 I had a baby at home and went out for a date night with my hubby where I ate a copious amount of food and dessert, and a dessert coffee. I was 268 lbs. I almost had to undo my too tight jeans sitting right there at the table. I went to the washroom and couldn't even look at myself in…
-
not quite at 100 yet... but 71 lbs - Started Jan 2013, so 2.5 years
-
yep. this.

i don't have cheat days because I am one of those people who has a really hard time getting back on track afterwards... that said I will eat whatever I want (within calories) once I have hit my fiber and protein goals for the day. I know that some people find cheat days helpful and more power to them, but it doesn't work…
-
I suppose I just don't understand why people would WANT to spend money on this...
-
keep up the good work ladies
-
no loose skin on belly... and i have lost about 10 inches from abdomen.... and i was really scared that i would look ridiculous... but with slow weight loss it isn't a huge issue.
-
have lost 71 lbs... had some loose skin on arms but with daily moisturizing it is firming up.
-
In Jan 2013 I was 268 lbs. And couldn't look at my face in the mirror. started logging everything, made slow changes to what I was eating. Have lost 71 lbs.... but has taken almost 3 years. slow and steady... patience and time.
