Hi. I am around your height and weight (5'3 and 190). I have read on these forums that mfp may grossly exaggerate the burn from exercise so I agree with others that you are likely not burning off as much as you think. Weigh and measure EVERYTHING and give it a few more weeks. Good luck

My husband loves going to comicon. He has a heroine addiction. Thank God he never tried heroin.

I started around 260 lbs. I am now 189. My first goal was 199 and I hit that about a year ago using mfp. But then I kind of wandered away. Luckily I changed my palate and tho I wasn't logging or tracking I managed to stay between 190-199 for the year. Didn't see 200 again. But scale was definitely creeping up so I caught…

Wow. OK.... Step one: take a breath. Exhale Repeat Next: decide to make yourself a priority. I have anxiety issues and can be quite scatter brained. I find it helpful to take a few minutes in the morning to pre-log my food diary and then I eat at regular intervals through the day. Find a few things you really enjoy and…

Yes. I have lost 80 lbs by choosing to eat in a calorie deficit. No exercise added

That sounds so so so tasty

Yes.... You would gain. I think that is what posters are suggesting.

I weigh every morning but the fluctuations really don't bother me. I know that I gain 2-5 lbs prior to my menstrual cycle and it vanishes days later

I did WW around 2003 (flex points were just being introduced) I lost weight - about 15 lbs- but was miserable and just felt bad about myself all of the time. I developed a really unhealthy relationship with food and ballooned up to 270s. Using mfp and just calorie counting I not only have an awesome relationship with food…

Yep. Sizing is messed up. I am 5'3". At my largest (270 lbs) I wore size 26 dress, size 22-24 jeans (or men's 44 waist), and 3xl shirt. I settled at 220 for a bit... Size 22 dress, 18-20 for jeans and 2xl shirt. Now at 190 I wear size 11-14 jeans, large in shirts and have given up on dresses ;)

I thought the same.... What a great play on words

If you were losing have you adjusted your daily calorie goal?

Oh my... I can RELATE! I was 235 lbs 5'3... And really struggled with wanting to lose super fast... And it made me HANGRY and it was not sustainable. I changed to 1 lb per week and it has been worth it. Got down to 190 and then stress came and I stopped mfp but by then eating reasonably felt normal and I have stayed around…

Waist and bust first... Hips and thighs last

For me it had to be about preplanning. Before mfp I was quite literally eating very little and then superbingeing on nachos and junk all night. I make my diary up the night before now and eat what I set out and it has been a lifesaver

I started again on Sunday

I started out with 120 to lose. Still have 55 to go. I set mine at 1lb per week.

Cheat meals don't really exist. Just log it. Congrats on your weight loss. that is awesome
-
You are doing fantastic! Congrats on the 3 lbs. That is awesome! Now... patience and time... time and patience. I have lost 68 lbs so far but it has taken me close to 3 years.

Probably the single thing that kept me fat my entire adult life was thinking about food in moral terms .... good food/bad food... "cheating".... I choose not to do that anymore.
-
this was my thought exactly... I mean, obviously! If you have someone who maintains at 1500 calories and you reduce their intake to 700... say they lose 50 lbs and you start refeeding at 1500... the person will gain weight.
