oh, I have had the pleasure of doing both and both have their own challenges. I am currently a SAHM but, have just enrolled into college again to finish my Bachelors. Once they're all in school I can't imagine staying at home. It would be nice but, in my opinion not pratical for our family. I would like to contribute to…

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. I wasn't agreeing with the scouts. I found it to seem dicrimminating on one belief that didn't agree with yours. I may not like a lot of things but it's their belief and a free country comes with plus and minuses. My brother was a boyscout and we didn't grow up with religion. And, that's…

There's a bit of a contradiction there, don't you think? You won't support a group of wholesome kids because you think they don't support your belief? I guess I'm just not following the logic behind that. I agree that what their selling is just unhealthy ick. To each it's own and you should alway's follow your heart.

You've got this my friend! You look amazing! I don't even recognize the before you - have you looked in the mirror lately? So, what you put some weight back on after hurting your back for 6 weeks. You're an inspiration and when I see your pictures you are glowing. Keep that woman around because she is beautiful and the…

10 pounds is Awesome. 10 becomes 20 - becomes 30 - becomes 40 (so, 10 pounds is a great accomplishment). Keep up the great work! :)

Around 40 lbs. I started seeing and feeling results. I could last longer exercsing, I was able to start running, and people realized that I was going to do this and I wasn't going to stop or slow down. The first few months were pretty solid 10lbs a month - it's slow down to sometimes only 1-2 pounds a month (and an…

have you tried finding a friend or a new friend that loves working out or even walking. I found that when I have felt defeated or off the wagon having someone be motivated for me helped. You're not alone and you can do this. :)

I'm 5'8 and I would be all smiles in a size 6!

agree - you look like a different person. Incredible thanks for sharing your journey.

For me it really was water. Never cared for water until about 7 months ago. I decided I would drink atleast 64oz. a day for a month and see how I felt. (I would drink usually 100oz) After a few days I stepped on the scale and was 8 lbs heavier!!! I told myself I would stick to it and well a week later those 8lbs were gone…

I weigh in every morning. For me it keeps me motivated to keep the same weight and reach for the next pound. And, if the scale starts tipping up I know I need to rethink my weeks eating habits and workouts. I think whatever you feel works best for you is the answer.

You look fantastic. What a difference and very inspirational for us all. Thanks for sharing.

I have a garmin forerunner 305 and love it! You can upload your workout. Tracks calories, miles, heart rate, mile pace and a bunch more features it's really easy to use too. You can make it beep at you if you want to keep a certain pace and fall below you. I find the watch actually helps push me. Really one of the more…

My suggestion is to read up on foods that help raise your metabolism ie; oatmeal, water, broccoli, lean meats. Also, if you've been working out and are at a stand still try switching up your routine for a month. If you're focusing on cardio go to strength training. Hope that helps. The longer you stick to this it gets…

I sometimes will take an ibuprofen before a run if I am feeling really sore. But, drink lots of water, stretch it out, and make sure you do a warm up and cool down before exercising. If I run I have to walk around for several minutes to let my body to recover. And, I don't know if it's just me but, I love the feeling of…

I just listen to my body and if it feels like I am hungry or craving something then I eat them. If I'm full and not hungry then I don't. I just try and keep balanced meals, healthy snacks and know some days are different than others. When I do a hard workout my body usually just wants to drink tons more water. You've got…

I go for the steamfresh asparagus and broccoli it's quick easy and awesome! Asparagus-natural diuretic broccoli-metabolism boost I like to snack on turkey pepperoni, walnuts, bananas and mini light babybel cheese

When I want something high in calories that will keep me full I go for a PB&J on whole wheat w/ a banana and 60 calorie yogurt and then for the entire day I set aside a bowl of: 1/4 cup of walnuts, 1/4 cup of almonds, 2 brazilian nuts, scoop of flax seed and rasins or dried cranberries making my own trail mix and munch on…

If you can afford to do so I would try getting a set with several different weights. I would say the 3lbs is a good start for you but, there will be exercises that 3lbs will just be too easy for you and you'll want to grab heavier weights to get the best results. The girl in the video goes up to 10lbs. And, the men go from…

I am on day 9 of p90x. I love it so far. This is what I do go under Exercise tab, then under that you'll see my exercise and there you can create an exercise. You can name it I just put "p90x" and add the calories you burned - best way to know that is a heart rate monitor. The average workout for p90x burns about 600. Some…

I like them with meat so instead of pork or crab I use turkey sausage. Instead of dipping the butter - use spray butter or spray canola. The good thing about stuffed anything is that you choose how you want to stuff it.

I was the same way too. I started by bringing a water bottle everywhere with me and telling myself I have to drink a certain amount of it a day. Started with 2 bottles a day then got to 5 a day. (20 oz. bottle). And, so my reward was to get a nice water bottle camelbak that holds 24oz and I drink no less than 3 refills a…

cayenne pepper/ jalopenos, broccoli, cinnamon, grapefruit, green tea, water, oatmeal, lean turkey/ beef/ pork, good source of Omega 3 (tuna or salmon) I don't like seafood so I heard a good replacement is flaxseeds, spinach and replacing fat with muscle

just opened mine public too. I am too afraid of "starvation mode" to go under 1200 calories a day. I aim for 1400-1600 depending on my workout. Weight loss and inches are coming off great too. I never feel hungry either. I enjoy looking at others diaries. I get bummed when I see someone eating less than 1200 because I know…

I read it is good in vitamans A, B and iron. But, it doesn't have fiber, isn't good for diabetics and in general helps store food and wouldn't be the cereal to choose if you are watching your weight or promoting a healthy heart. Low in calories but, overall nutritional value pretty low. I would give it 2 stars out of 5. If…

I had this same problem. And, I thought I was doomed because of my family genes. I started drinking 96ounces of water daily, changing my diet to eating healthy and working out 6 days a week and the "cheese" is disappearing. I am amazed because I didn't think my body would ever go back to before "cheese" days. Not…

on my rest day I try and just walk at a moderate pace around the neighborhood. Sometimes with friends to catch up or with my husband. Or, I walk around the park while my older kids play and me and baby take a stroller walk. It helps me feel less guilty about a rest day. And, then I don't feel as though I was "working out"…

I drink atleast 64oz. - 8 cups I try for 100oz. -daily for every pound you weigh = 1/2 oz. of water if you weigh 200 lbs than you should be consuming 100oz
-
This is where a handful of walnuts or almonds could help you. High in good calories. :)

If you are under eating in calories your body will just go into starvation mode and hold onto every ounce/ pound of fat it gets instead of burning it. It will take upto a few weeks (atleast for me it did) for your body to realize you actually plan on feeding it. Keep track on your diary and when you go under 1200 calories…
