  • Hello, I agree with linz3052, and the vege's. I'm a cyclist, if you call someone who rides a fixed speed Huffy a cyclist, that's my cardio and there are a lot of other benefitsl I also watch what I eat but not as well. Jump on the cardio and I bet you'll see great results!
  • Hello, how 'bout trying the power of Will, right smack dab in the middle of consciousness? It is such a force of course straight from the source ... You!
  • Great Morning to Everyone, I'm an avid, vigorous fixed speed bike rider, you know, like the one I had in my youth. I've traveled through breathing myself, two inhales, one longer exhale and every now and then a deep breath in and out. Stay as upright as I can, conscious of it anyway, to breath well. My heart rate target is…
  • I also am very much about cardio-vascular as well as metabolic health. I've been doing 25 of my 50 minute a day exercise(biking on a good ole fixed-gear) vigorously. I've been doing very well with much better blood pressure, resting heart rate, cholesterol, triglycerides and the pounds are falling away, 30 so far with a…
  • Get a cheap, single-speed bike and ride outside, that's what I did 30 lbs ago. Not bored out there!
  • Hello, "the year you will Sort yourself out," that's great! I've been for quite some time and much has shaken out giving me great direction and the pounds are falling away, have lost 30 lbs and going for maybe 15 more. Do you have any interest in riding, or should I say, exercising on a bike (I ride the bike hard, get that…
  • How wonderful for you, turnarounds are magnificent aren't they! Great Health to You!
  • Hello! I'm 55 and stayin' alive ... in the best possible way! I'm a man of few goals but those I have very much help the pounds fall away ... to stay, 30 lbs so far heading for probably 15 more. Drop in on a group I started, A Spirit of Fitness, if you'd like. We would and do welcome you. Great Health to You!
  • Thank you for the cabage recipe, noticed one on a message board for tuna and iceburg lettuce, lots of protein and it sounds great! I hope to contribute with an invitation to our group, A Spirit of Fitness which is just getting off the ground. Body Shapes intrigues me from an InForm - ed perspective. Hope you drop in, and…
  • how 'bout riding a bike(good ole single-speed), actually exercising on it getting the heart rate up to what's recommended for you. I did just that and have lost about 30 lbs. with a goal of 15 more, have body fat % of 11.1, if that is to be believed, just measured yesterday, so need a few more to determine accuracy. Have…
  • Thank you very much for the tuna recipe, lunch today and many more!
  • Ride a bike(just a good ole single-speed), if just for a bit, up to you. I've got quite the physical self turnaround story. Too long for here, send me a message and I'll share it or join our group, "A Spirit of Fitness." Good Health to You!
  • We don't do fluff, you gotta do the stuff, your choice. We're a group, "A Spirit of Fitness." I started it, doesn't seem to be much in participation, sometimes its just as easy to send a message. Check out the posts and see what if is for you.
  • Take some people along on a bike ride or should I say, vigorous exercise to get your heart beat to the recommended rate, I have found that the weight just kind of falls off, have lost about 30 lbs. and am continuing to lose. You don't need a fancy bike, I have a good ole single speed bike, just ride it vigorously. Great…
  • Hello, that's great, your new wealth is to be your health! I'm at the other end of life 55 y/o but am going backward and really good with it! Can you ride a bike each day? I do, getting my heart beats to the recommended rate. We can talk about it if you wish, don't know what adding as a Friend does, just send me a message…
  • Great morning to you, I'm a biker too! Have lost 30 lbs with 15 to 20 lbs more to go. I've compared plates, mine, USDA's MyPlate and Harvard University's Healthy Eating Plate. I'm looking at the later. Good food is great, biker's are better! I am a bit older so cardio and metabolic health are very important the weight loss…
  • Soul searching, mind quieting, focusing physically on fitness!
  • Get on a bike and ride! Or should I say vigorously exercise. Lost about 30 lbs., going for 15 to 20 more. Works on the parts of the body you mentioned and more. I use a good ole single speed bike and ride, everyday, for 50 minutes, great health to you!
  • I agree and target cardiovascular and metabolic health from a physical perspective. I get to expand a bit into my head and heart while riding my bike, or should I say, vigorously exercising getting my heart rate up to what's recommended for me for at least 25 of my 50 minute ride. My blood pressure, resting heart rate,…
  • I'm another vote for cycling. We're very close in age, height, weight. My target is around 190 but as importantly is my blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol/triglycerides all are heading in the right direction. I'm still losing weight but more slowly than previous loss of 30 lbs. I have an eye on my plate but am going…
  • from one 55 year older to another ... how 'bout riding a bike or should I say, exercising on a bike? I started exercising on a good ole single speed bicycle, ya know, one we had in our youths. My target heart rate is 140 - 145 beats per minute for 25 of my 50 minute ride each morning. I was hypertensive, overweight and was…
  • Hi, saw you've done a lot of soul searching, may I suggest some spirit inviting, kinda indescribable. I'm losing weight, 30 lbs, probably 15 to 20 more to go. Ride my single speed bike everyday, check on my heart rate often, and my blood work is heading in the right direction. I'm extremely motivated and engaged with that…
  • Stethoscope, ace wrap and timer of some sort. I monitor my heart rate while exercising on my bike twice a month or so, kinda cool listening to my heart!
  • How 'bout riding a bike, I like to say exercising on a bike because I ride my single speed bike, like the one I had when I was a kid, hard, my goal is a heart rate of 140 - 145 beats per minute, have lost about 30 lbs., lowered my resting heart rate and the lab results on blood work is doing very well too. Bike cost me…
  • I know I'm crazy but with soul as my source, I say to myself, "of course," and I stay on it! Have lost about 30 lbs and am heading downwards, upwards comes to me too, you? Drop into our group, "A Spirit of Fitness" and say hello!
  • I actually listen to my heart with a stethoscope and count my HR while exercising on my bike, I do use an ace wrap to hold the head piece in place. It's interesting listening to your heart. I'm figurin' this doesn't help, just thought I'd throw it in. I check B/P and resting HR too. Good luck!
  • Hello, your reference to metabolic intrigued me. We've started a group, "A Spirit of Fitness." Please drop in, any and all! I'm 55 and more than stayin' alive. Let's see if we can get a little synergy going!
  • Hello, so what is your high intensity cardio? I ride a bike hard to get and keep my heart rate to/at 140-145 beats per minute for as much of the 50 minute ride I do each day. I've gone from 234-238 to 208 and still heading down. My goal is 190-195 and toned, noticing that happening in my upper legs from all the riding.…
  • Wherever the potato goes, you go! Just had to say it, hope you laugh a minute or a least smile.
