I am 5'5" currently 166. Goal is 145 to start with, will re-evaluate when I get to that point.

I have noticed that thyroid issues will make it harder to lose the weight but not impossible as long as you follow the plan. I am on thyroid replacement also. I personally think it is worth it for your health even if it is slower going than someone without thyroid issues.

I got a MIO for about $30 at Academy, it is a watch one not one with the chest strap.

For me it was kinda slow in the beginning. I am starting the 4th week in phase 2 and I lost 3.8 this week. I am not following the nutrition plan either. I have lost 9lbs since starting p90x. I can definately tell in my clothes that my body is changing and I am getting stronger.
