Here is a good meal I call Greek Rolladen. At my grocery store I can buy very thinly sliced top round they call rolladen. I am sure any butcher could do this cut for you. It is VERY thin, about 3" wide and about 10" long. I make a mixture of feta cheese and black olives ( the good ones and without pits) I add a full…

Low-carb also. No sugar, no wheat, rice corn oats etc. Wish I had gotten onto this years ago. Am down 54 pounds, and about 30 to go. My favorite recipe lately is Old Hippie Tabouli. Remember that? In this recipe I use quinoa instead of bulgar wheat. Also made Miso soup for breakfast. Very Asian, and yummy! Tabouli is…

definitely a bump to come back to. What is reasonable in terms of lowering body fat? I understand that dropping pounds and body fat at the same time is really tough. I am wanting to set a goal for this year in terms of body fat and am not sure where to go with it. I have about 30 pounds left to go and am about 40% body…

I have been doing thrift stores since before I started MFP. I have dropped over 50 pounds and most of my clothes don't fit anymore, even the ones I have been saving until I lost weight. Sometimes I have to try on 3 or 4 things in the morning before I find one that fits. What a great feeling! You go girl!

Thanks folks! More Please! No other risk factors, not a smoker, past menopause (but still rowdy). Physically active, been doing low carb at least 2 years now. To the point that it is a life style anyway (thank you MFP). I ask for input, but am able to make my own decisions, thank you, in reference to health practioners, or…

bump for later also. I got through page 3 and gave up writing them down. Can't believe the timing. I just opened a new Netflix account!

I would like to start heavy lifting, but don't know where to begin. Got the book Heavy Lifting for Women, but have not dug into it yet. Anyone recommend a DVD or program I can do at home?

I started out at about the same weight you are: 252. Dropped the first 30 pounds just with calories and exercise, then got stuck and quit and gained back 10. Started MFP and went low carb, and am now free from cravings! and down to 208. I see a trainer every other week. She has helped a lot. My protein is at least half my…

That's a good start, still looking for more. FYI my calories are at about 1500.

Try Ezekiel bread, especially the sesame. Great with PNB

Started out at 252, now around 209. Low carb is a life style, not just for those with a few pounds. I am not exactly doing Adkins, but low carb. there are lots of us here. Am reading Adkins again just to remember what the doc said. Add me if you like, but you must be eating 1200 calories min. and have an open diary. Good…

The scale is not my friend. I weigh officially on the scale at my trainer's gym and that is every other week. I have a scale I use at home and there is also one at my office that I don't pay much attention to because I know they are not the one that counts. I weigh at home in the morning in the buff after I have peed. My…

Redhead here also. But have golden skin,,no freckles and tan deeply . My father was French. I got far too much attention as a young woman. Am not hot tempered, but will not take abuse. Not stubborn, really either ( I don't think). born in September, Libra.

Sounds like emotional eating to me. Lonely? Afraid of the weight loss? Bored? Addicted to Carbs?I'd suggest some journaling. All the will power in the world won't help you white knuckle it through the issues that got you where you are. If will power was the key, not many of us would be here. Do a little self exploration…

. All good advice, and DO something about the jerk who is commenting on your photos. Report him, block him, write him an insulting letter, tell him he is a worm, and he is if he is bullying you! GET MAD! it will probably be good for you and is not fatening. No one has a right to talk to you in that manner.

Also sliced zuccinni as a dipper for spreads of all kinds. Or mini carrots. I add arugala and mustard greens to my salad to give it a zip as well as variation. I make an egg slice for breakfast with colored peppers and sausage. Chicken/broccoli alfredo is heavenly. Fiber is important with low carb so if you don't do many…

I have about 45 pounds to lose, and for me, I dropped first to 60 carbs, for a week or so, then 50, then 40. Now do 25-40, ideal of 37 for 10% of my calories. I think I could live life well as a low carber. I think that is the solution to not gaining it back. Friend me if y.ou like

I was doing just reduced calories and exercise when I realized I wasn't dropping body fat. My trainer said to drop my carbs and increase my protein. So I dropped my carbs to 60 with 100 grams of protein ( about half my body weight). then dropped to 50, then 40 or less with an occasional day of 50 or 60. For me, this is…

Move to Alaska and save yourself and your children from this jerk and his evil mother.

Can't be much fun to have sex with this jerk.

Take a moment and think about what staying is teaching your kids. If you have a girl, she is learning that this is how men treat women, and women are worthless and should put up with it. If you have boys, they are learning that this is how men should treat women and that they are entitled to do so. Additionally, your…

Hey Goils! I am in North Central Florida. Been with MFP since November. Have lost 16 pounds and am very pleased. Am doing low (ish) carbs. For February: I want to get to the gym at least once a week and do the line as well as cardio. (I live out of town so it is a major effort to get to the gym. I get my weight training at…

Sorry, not really the question you asked, but I found most of those things on MFP. Tracking has always worked for me, even with WW. But the group support with WW sucks in my opinion. MFP helps a lot.

The Psych research says that the folks who take the weight off and keep it off do these 4 things: 1. track your food 2. have group support 3. exercise 4. after you reach your goal, stay on maintenance for at least a year. The longer, the better

I confess to being a sugar addict. I started doing low carb (60g, then 50g, now more like 40g) I am free from cravings and feel great. I think I can do this or some modified version of this for the rest of my life. Soon I will be below 200 pounds for the first time in more than 20 years.
