  • I will second Chalean Extreme, I find it is a great, simple, well-rounded program. I got some great results from it. Just remember to take measurements and not watch the scale too closely because you will build muscle with it. Turbo Fire is also a great program but it is almost entirely cardio and if you are not careful…
  • Try some cardio that involves strength training as well. I can personally breeze through Turbo Fire right now because I did it so much, so I switched it up to Ruthless which incorporates body weight exercises and I am feeling very challenged even though the it is only a 20 minute workout. Not to mention that the scale is…
  • If you want to try a workout "system" Ruthless by Weider is only $20 for 20 workouts at Walmart or Amazon right now. The closest thing I can equate it to is a slightly easier 20 minute Insanity workout. It is all body weight and no other equipment is needed. I just completed the first week this week and dropped 4 lbs and…
  • For anyone who is interested, the price for this set has dropped to $19.76 on Amazon and is similarly priced at Walmart. Makes it about $1 a workout! Did the first workout today and I was basically at my max heart rate the entire time. Definitely got a good burn for the time put in. Just wanted to share.
  • Agreed, it really isn't that hard if you go at your own pace but it is effective if you push yourself. If you try to be exactly like everyone in the videos the first day, it will be bad. However, it is very time consuming. This is where most people usually have the most problems with it. Maybe just have some other options…
  • For those who actually want to do their own research on ebola (I suggest you do) you can find a wide variety of ebola research studies and papers on Flutrackers.com. The language is not that hard to understand but it does take effort to read. However, I would suggest if you have not studied ebola at all and are simply…
  • As a recovering binge eater one thing I can tell you is that the less of the unhealthy stuff you eat the less you will crave it. The more of it you eat the worse it gets. If you can cut out the junk food for a while you will go through a type of withdrawal but once you get past that it gets way easier. I rarely have…
  • Wow! I didn't really expect to find anyone even close, and now I am a triplet!
  • I'm in! 28, female 6' 0" 198 lbs
  • Ham or canadian bacon on top of a baked sweet potato with a little butter and some toasted Ezekiel bread on the side. Round it out with yogurt, milk or cheese if you have the calories.
  • I did it a couple years ago to get back into shape after my first baby. Don't be afraid to give yourself a few extra rest days or add in a little extra cardio on the short days. That is what I did and I was happy with the results. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures, but here are my results from the 58 days I did before…
  • Trying to post Star Wars Butthurt gif......Help anyone?
  • Thanks for the responses! That MMA workout looks fun. I love kickboxing type stuff, but money is really tight right now and I have a gazillion workouts, so no spending more money for me. I am really needing something I can do at home while my youngest is sleeping, so getting a gym membership is out for me (because of money…
  • Whoever revived this old thread, thank you. I have noticed this a bit too, especially in my stomach. Looking forward to the sudden drop in inches. I have seen the scale go down, and clothes fit better but inches are stuck and things are just more bumpy......This too shall pass.
  • Have you tried any different types of tea. Herbal, earl grey, etc. There are lots of different flavors of tea out there that can really change things up for you. I have one that is pomegranate that so great even without sweetener. You can also try spicing up your water by filling a pitcher with water and placing fruit in…
  • Absolutely! Buy yourself some new things you can feel good about. If money is a problem, keep it cheap with thrift stores and clearance racks. There is no reason you shouldn't feel good about how you look while you are in the process of losing weight.
  • Went through my closet and found 3 pairs of pants, 6 shirts and a dress that I could not fit into a month ago, but now they fit! Feels good to add some clothes back into the wardrobe.
  • It is challenging but doable. It is tough but it is only about 20 minutes of actual working out, about the time you think you can't do another move, it is over and you are cooling down. You will need a good pair of workout shoes and some weights. 3, 5 and 8s would likely be good as someone above already stated.
  • I am actually on level 2 day 1 (aka day 11). It is a great short workout that burns a lot of calories and has some strengthening. I am just keeping a calorie deficit and trying to focus on getting more protein. I have lost about 4 lbs since starting (not sure on inches, I forgot to measure this morning). I would definately…
  • Start weight: 212.6 lbs End Weight: 205.2 lbs Total loss: 7.4 lbs Not too happy with myself, I let personal stuff get in the way. At least I didn't gain.... On a happy note, congratulations to all of you who stuck with it!!!
  • Second not eating enough. Without knowing your stats no one can say for sure but it is rare that just 1200 cals will be enough for your body to function on, and if you are exercising there is no question.
  • First, it sounds like you are an apple shape, which means your stomach and arms will be your first place to gain and the last place to lose. I am the same and yes, it does suck. The good news is that the more you lose the more you will notice in those places so you are probably right about to see a more regular drop in…
  • PEANUT BUTTER!!! I couldn't even look at oatmeal before, now it is almost a daily breakfast. TBS of pb with a little sugar makes it taste like a peanut butter cookie. Sooo yummy
  • TWICE!!! Both times from pregnancy, and I gained a LOT. Third time is a charm though, and I am determined never to get pregnant again. Of course, I thought I was done after my first.
  • Large amounts of sodium, a heavy workout (water retention in the muscles), one day of over eating, or a large bowel that has yet to move could all account for 2 lbs. Don't stress, keep tracking. Oh, and I won't open my diary either. Doesn't mean I am overeating, I just don't really like the idea of it. Everyone is…
  • All good answers above. Just keep in mind that the scale may show an immediate gain, but it will come back off. So long as cals in equal cals out you should do fine.
  • Would love to be added too! Encouragement helps everyone
  • Setting small goals is the most helpful for me. Started by saying I am going to get under 210 (started at 212.5), now I am aiming for under 205. Only 1.5 away from that, and I should be there in about a week  . If I stop and look at the big picture it gets a bit overwhelming but those small goals are doable. Of…
