C'mon y'all lets GOOOOOOOOO! Always gets me pumped when he says that...

My advice would be to sign up for it, it is an amazing program. The workouts are divided into a 3 set "warmup" that leaves you SWEATING profusely, consisting of things like jumping jacks, high knees, jogging, and some others. The first part is about 10 minutes. Then, he has you "stretch" which is really a little bit of…

I always get discouraged, over the last year I have started and stopped dozens of times it feels. I had my fiance hide my scale and decided I would weigh in once per month. my new thing is go by how you feel. If you are feeling good from the workouts etc, the weight will come off. I have started taking my measurements once…

this actually drives me crazy some days. One day I look in the mirror and think, I just have a different body type, than the next girl and thats ok. Other days I think "Get real! You need to lose a few! Stop making excuses!!!"

Yessss, such a good post. many times but I'm 5'2" and now 138. It's uncomfortable when ppl say that too. You say thanks but go home, look in the mirror and think to yoiurself "really, no way, not with this belly!"

Hey! I always have the same problem. The last two weekends have both been awful, so bad in fact that I undo pretty much all of my work that week... very disheartening, I know how you feel. Lately I have been avoiding the scale and drinking LOTS of water. Last week I went camping and ended up eating candy, half a bag of…

LUNGES!!! i haaaate them but I am always sore the next day so they work!

I think muscles are sexy, and because of our hormones as women, its nearly impossible to "bulk up" so keep on lifting! That may be her opinion but it doesn't make it right. It is also healthy to have muscles tone and I for one think they are sexy!!! Don't let her get you down, you're doing great and I'm sure you look…

Maybe your body is adjusted to the workout routine you do. Try doing interval training, for example... If you plan on running 30 minutes try alternating between walking/running. I found I lose more weight when I get on the treadmill and power walk at an incline 2 min, rest at 3.5 for 1 min, sprint as fast as I can for 1…

congratulations, that's so great. so happy for you!!! keep it up :)

ME TOO! I have just recently started running and can't agree with you more! My stress level has gone way down too. It does feel amazing and its what gets me to get up everday and just do it! Even the days that I think " i'm just too tired", thinking of how good the feeling is after running is what makes it an easier…

Congratulations for sticking with it! This is my third straight week of working out almost everday and eating healthy and I do feel so much better already. What kind of cardio do you do?
-
I am going to start using that! "Fun-sized" is so much better than "short". I am 5'1.5" and have started yet again but this time feels different. I am looking at losing weight as more of a quest to be healthier and fit instead of putting the pressure on the numbers of the scale. It is working a lot better this way. My goal…

I am 5'2" as well. I thought my goal weight should be around 125 but after reading a similiar post and also doing some research I think I should be 115-120. I know this is going to sound stupid but I was watching a movie with my boyfriend the other night and he mentioned Selma Hayek was sooooo hot so I looked up her…

I have been driving a honda accord for over 2 yrs now. I absolutely love it. Haven't had any major problems since I bought it. My family also has owned many honda accords as well. My dad owned a civic and my mom is on her second accord. They haven't had any major problems with transmissions or anything else either. Hondas…

I eat my 1250 calories and also eat back my workout calories. If you net less than 1200, it may slow down your metabolism. What worked for me in the past is changing up my exercise routine. If you walk or run for your exercise, do intervals. I walk 5 min, run 5 min, power walk 5, run 5 and so on. If you belong to a gym,…

Try some trail mix, or some cubes of cheese. A small amount of those can add up to a lot of calories. If you like peanut butter, 1 tablespoon is 95 calories. (I try to stay away from these because I have the opposite problem, going over my calorie goal, but they are some of my favorites) :) Good Luck!

Wow you look so different! Keep up the good work :)

I just started insanity last week and I'm having the EXACT same problem, I've put ON three pounds. I was discouraged and stopped for a few days only to read online that this is very common. I had a friend who did P90x and he said he put on weight during the first two weeks and then from then on dropped weight like crazy.…

My first challenge too! I've also started Insanity this week and will be ending the end of May! Starting Weight: 135 Goal Weight: 120-125 3/17: 3/24: 3/31: 4/7: 4/14: <<<mini goal>>> 130 4/21: 4/28: 5/5: 5/12: <<<mini goal>>> 125 5/19: 5/26: 6/2: 6/9: <<<challenge goal>>>120-124

Hi! Right now me and my boyfriend are almost done with the first week of Insanity. We have heard nothing but good things about it. So far we love it, although it is as promised....insane. My muscles have never been this sore ever. I'm 25 and I struggle during the really intense parts. Shaun T really makes you work at the…

So amazing, you are quite an inspiration! Keep up the good work!!!!

I try to buy lots of new fun flavored gum and new drinks to try, without calories of course. The vitamin zero waters are delicious and I just started drinking the diet cranberry juice and diet grape/cranberry. Although I know what you mean, once you get a particular food on your mind sometimes it takes over you mind until…

MFP calculates you target calorie goal, in your case 1200, so you are at a 500 calorie deficit for the day, which puts you on track to lose one pound a week. Your body actually requires 1700 for normal daily activities. When you burn at the gym, that is added to the 500 calorie loss, so for example: You only ate your 1200…

If anyone has any advice on training for a half-marathon, or a full one for that matter, I would love to hear from you!

I know for me the most excited I am for a workout is when I have a new playlist/songs on my ipod. Try adding some new songs!!!
