35, British, wants to use MFP more than as a diary! Another FB cynic, and I'd like to talk about more than weightloss on my feed.
-
1,400 day streak, and I want more accountability/to help out if wanted!
-
Yeah - also to add to my weight loss, it's only really kicked on the last two months where I've lost around stone in 2 months. I'm probably losing at 1-1.5lbs most weeks, sometimes more, sometimes less. I openly go over my allowance at times, and with eating back part of my exercise calories I know there's no chance of it…

Happy to be added/add! British, on a bit of mission, want a reason to post more status updates beyond diary entries/weight loss! On a long streak, so definitely active.
-
I find it remarkably straightforward to eat under 1,800 a day, which is what I probably average..!
-
Since really going for it, I've lost 1.5 stone so far this year.
-
I have been doing that throughout.
-
Around 2-3 miles per day at a minimum, usually 4-5. It's based on my smart watch
-
I set it at sedentary, with me eating back approximately half the calories gained from steps. My daily expenditure is around 2200-2300, I'm 6'3, 207lbs and only walk for exercise.

Hey Tina, whilst I haven't taken measurements, my jeans/tops are looser than before. I'm not giving up, but I'm just setting a calorie limit, and sticking with that. I might just weigh myself in boots every now and again, but it's about fitting into my clothes - I'm not letting my actual weight derail that.
-
That's it, I'm binning the scales. Since exercising more, I've gained 5lbs of fat in 2-3 weeks. I'll keep going on MFP, I hope, but I refuse to track my weight etc; I'll get obsessed, upset, and probably in a worse place than ever before. It just makes me wonder, what the hell is the point. I don't care if it registers a…

29, Chester, UK - lost 4 stone, re-gained 3...!

Thanks guys. In the hope I'd see something positive, I weighed myself today after a 90 minute bike ride and 3 hour walk over the last two days.. and I've gained 2lbs "/ I want to throw the scales out, but a) I like seeing the numbers change, b) when I lost the weight last time it was a nice gentle flow downwards. ARGH!
-
Thanks guys; I'll keep at it, and as long as the weight comes off, I'm not too fussed!!
-
By means of an update, it seems accurate: I've visited several other websites (incl. about.com and Jillian Michaels') and a 3 hour walk for a 244lb male at 4mph comes out at 2,200ish calories.
-
Thanks :) It was earlier today, so the sun was still out, was a varying gradient... in line with the link I referred to, I'll lower the number in line with the net results that gives. We'll see come weigh-in day!
-
Or 1,175 net.
-
Average was 124; Max was 158bpm

According to this: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx - I burned 1,378..
-
Yup: 6ft 4, 240lbs, Male, 29... MFP reckons it to be half this "/
-
Neither. If you're a size 6 or 36, as long as you're comfortable, who cares? Shouldn't be about courage - should be just normal :D
-
Thank you :D You have given me an idea; whilst intense exercise may burn more calories, I think a longer bout of milder exercise will help - can't eat when jogging ;)
-
Thanks guys - I know I can do it (because I've done it before) - it's just depressing when you don't notice any change after two weeks of stringent logging :( It is just the motivation that I struggle with - because I don't always cook it can go harder, plus if I lived alone I know I could eat better... But they are just…
-
Thanks - gym is out though! Can't afford! I've got various DVDs, some hand weights, a mat, running shoes though..!

Hi! I'm about to start lvl3, but after reading this I'm concerned about my calories burning levels. My HRM says I burn around 550cal for the workout....?? I'm 243lbs!

BIG Update... http://www.richard-lowe.co.uk/2011/11/how-i-lost-weight.html

Every Monday morning; it's when the weekly calories start again, so it seemed just right! I keep the scales under the stairs, so they're out of sight, out of mind....!
