Yes- Especially difficult walks, like on soft sand or hills.

I drink whole milk every day, and eat cheese often. I believe the saturated fat is necessary and a good source energy. Like most compounds, excess fat is not good. I understand why trans and modified fats are considered unhealthy, but not naturally occurring saturated fat from meat and milk.

Why stop at the cicada's? Do you also eat the spiders, cockroaches and other bugs you find? No thanks.

Without citing any articles, YES. I am in that stage of trying to lose the last 10 pounds of fat and the hunger pains are definitely harder to control.

How about do whatever you like and f the rest. I lift and diet to get the look I like when I look (stare) at the mirror, and for competitive sports.

Attitude: Takes defeat as a lesson. In response, figures out what when wrong and improves. Applies to all aspects of life. Honesty: I can tolerate a few lies now and then. But need honesty when it comes to certain issues. Competitive: I need a challenge. Confidence (very different from arrogance).

The more I work at diet and exercise, the luckier I get at being in shape.

Take top.

I cannot live without them- right after a workout.

I try to like the green vegetables, but I hate them. Thus, I juice and slam them. My go to green mix is asparagus, celery, cucumber, green beans, broccoli, and spinach. I slam this green mix about 5 days a week. A few days a week I will make a root mix- carrots, beets, and whatever other root I can find. I like the sweet…

Thanks. I will try with the chips replaced with ground walnuts.

Beer was designed by the Monks as a meal replacement, and to this day there is none better. Good carbs, a little protein, and ethanol as the preservative. The problem is the crappy so called lite beers. Stick with full bodied beers. Calories in vs calories out. It is that simple. I suggest using weight as only a small part…

Yea- I use it once in a while. I hate the taste of broccoli and a few other green vegetables. Thus, when I feel like I need to eat something green I juice it and slam it. Also juice beets once in while to get some magnesium. Mainly used to get the nasty green crap down.

I had this issue many years ago. For me, I found it was the mechanics of how I was running- foot way out front-heal strike and roll forward-i.e. run how we walk with modern shoes. When you come down on the heel way out front the jolt from the pavement goes right up the leg. Once I learned how to run more efficiently, like…

Always the guy's fault if the marriage fails. If wife doesn't like herself- hmm- must be the guys fault. Couldn't possibly be the wife's fault for not studying and learning more about her diet, changing lifestyle, getting to the gym, etc.

Old at 47? Only if you give into that mindset. I eat back calories too, but my goal is not to just lose fat but also maintain muscle. I would like to weigh the same but with more muscle less fat. Depends on your goals.

2.5 years is a lot to throw away on words. Not easy to find another partner. Most say lose weight for yourself. Agreed. However, input from partner should be considered -both ways- it's a compromise. (I am not agreeing with way it was said in this case).

Excellent. I cheated and added a little stevia.

What do you mean by back straight? Shoulders back, pelvis rotated forward, etc?
-
Slexy- I like your chocolate diet- I eat a lot of it.

I am confused by your post. You are complaining about your boyfriend being clean and attentive. So he texts other women. So what. You talk to other men. You do not have one shred of evidence that he is cheating. Snooping in his texts without his knowledge is really going to anger him. Would you like it if he snooped…

Longtime rider. My first bike was a Yamaha enduro in 1982. Latest bike is a RoadKing.

Amazing. The majority (that avoid exercise/study fitness) do not appreciate the amount of effort required to retain muscle at such a low fat level.

I had this. It took 8 weeks to heal. I hurt myself running in the newer free form type shoes. Never again. I let it heal by no running and wearing new very cushioned running shoes-older style, not bendy. The key is let it heal and don't continue to injure it.
-
I used to run by coming down on heal and rolling foot forward, which causes a lot of strain on knees. Look up "prose" running. It is a little difficult to get used to, but far less strain on the knees, and seems more efficient. I ran 6 marathons using prose form.

Did you pick up any new techniques?

I liked Jeff, who lives at home as well.

How old do I have to be to be considered old-n-cute?

True. But high glycemic carbs- sugar, white bread, french fries, etc.- increase hunger pains. At least they make me hungry and it is difficult to control the amount of calories eaten when getting hunger pains from the high glycemic carbs. Many on MFP have no problem controlling the amount of calories eaten when they eat…
