For ME personally, Quest bars make me stall. Which SUCKS because I love them. My body hates processed food. The sodium is really high on them...except the new Smores ones are a bit lower which is good. I have one in my purse at all times for emergencies, but try and keep it to "real food" when you can! :-)

The last 10 pounds can kiss my *kitten*. LOL

I'm a group fitness instructor and teach Bodycombat/Bodypump. They have at home versions of each...Combat being cheaper....and I can't say enough about it. Dan and Rach who created it are fantastic and they lead the workouts. It's mixed martial arts/cardio. It's through Beachbody. (Not selling anything. LOL)

hi! I'm open! I lost 40 pounds with MFP almost 5 years ago and this has helped me keep it off for the first time in my life. I've lodged for over 1000 days. LOL. So feel free! And WELCOME!

thanksgiving isn't what wrecks me....it's the half of a homemade pumpkin cheesecake and made from scratch pecan pie with homemade whipped cream thats in my fridge STILL that's the problem. Ohhh the double edged sword that is an amazing chef of a husband.

I kind of feel like it's sorta pointless. Even if you weighed all the food, getting the correct calorie count of every single homemade dish would be agony. Searching for any Thanksgiving food in the data bank will give you 400 choices with totally different calories and macros for the exact same food. Pointless. Either…

It's typically water weight. Sodium/excess carbs/ extra food in your belly. I am right there with you though. Tight as a drum all week, one cheat meal, and I'm battling the extra 3-4 pounds for the rest of the week. It sucks.

I. LOVE. HALLOWEEN. I love it! I never, ever, ever, ever buy candy bars. EVER. So this is such a fun holiday for me. I love having a day of Twix and Kitkats and Milkyway Midnights (favorite!). My goal (not always reached) is to not binge and after the 31st whatever is left to fit them into my day.
-
It sounds to ME like maybe you need to switch up your routine. Your body has gotten very efficient at walking, so maybe add in something different a couple times a week? If you love walking keep doing it obviously, but it may have turned into your body's new normal. Dance, yoga, weight training, kickboxing....whatever…

AH-mazing job! What a difference already! Good on you for taking pictures. Those are always great motivators. I wish I had done that when I started. Keep it going, mama!!! ROCK IT OUT!

I made an appointment with my doctor for Monday. I'm on cycle day 61 with again TOM symptoms but not TOM. I eat around 1800-2000 calories a day, but even still TOM is missing, nails are thin, I've been trying to lose the same 5 pounds for literally 4 years. I'm going to ask for a full blood panel, have the thyroid checked,…

When I got certified in CXWORX we had to do a 6 minute hover while coaching. That was fun. :-) I did the 6 minutes...never tried longer because I don't wanna. Haha

You can...and you don't have to do cross fit for it to count as exercise...THAT BEING SAID....there are many more benefits to exercise than just losing weight. It's healthy to move your body and lift weights for strong muscle, bone density, cardiovascular health..just to name a few. The key is finding something you find…

I'm surprised no one has asked this yet, but what are you using to create accuracy? Are you using a food scale ? Are some of your foods from a restaurant etc? With a small deficit it is easy to lose it without being diligent. That can make a huge difference! :-)
-
I do all three of these. LOL! But also...I'd die on 1200. More food! Save some cals. Like everyone has said. But you should absolutely be able to eat more than 1200 and lose.
-
That's a great article! Dare I dare to say out loud that I never/very very rarely get injured....but I do have some other symptoms. I will mention this next time I hit the doctor for sure.

We have reservations at Cypress and The Ordinary....and one other place...can't remember. Home Team BBQ is seriously legit stuff on the outer skirts of CHS. I went to C of C and my husband it from CHS so we know exactly where the good stuff is!

Since my body seems to be responding in this way, should I consider changing my macros? right now I'm at protein 40 fat/carbs 30.
-
That's a great idea. I'm already eating around 2000 so maintenance wouldn't be that far off from that. It's super hormonal for me as I've been having very irregular lady issues for some time now. We ate an INSANE amount of food in NOLA so it is possible. Jazzfest with a food writer husband....it was bad news bears. :-)

Happened again today. I went up a couple of pounds, ate 2,000 yesterday and actually went OVER my carbs and back down again this morning. LOL. Heybales you are amazing, YES, I am an instructor so I teach a ton of classes. Tons of cardio/Bodypump. I actually just lost the 10 pounds I gained in a WEEK in New Orleans back in…

Yep. Put my bowl on the scale and slowly drizzle until I reach the grams. OR I use a TBS and do just some balsamic vinegar.

You can't say nobody loves exercise! LOL! I actually do love to exercise, but only because I found the workouts that I have FUN doing. That ain't the treadmill or stair master. It took a while of finding instructors that I love, that play awesome music, and programs that I actually look forward to doing. Spin with an…

It's more about the calories. It's also the quality of the food and what had to happen for that food to get to your mouth. I can't even comprehend what kind of conditions the animals etc are in like for KFC etc. In order for that burger to be a buck or two...what on earth is in it? I find that scarier than the calories.…

That was happening to me, and now every night I have a cup of no salt cottage cheese with some fresh strawberries cut on top and a sprinkle of Truvia/cinnamon/unsweetened cocoa. It's delicious and filling, and the CC helps your muscles recovery (so I hear) the casein is a very slow moving protein. Give it a shot. I always…

SODIUM! Woo boy. You are way over on sodium most days, and the carbs/high processed foods are a huge part of the day it seems. Drink TONS of water and green tea, and then keep your sodium under. I would imagine that would make a big difference right off the bat! :-)
-
OHMAGERD. That looks awesome. My husband and I went through a phase where we would try out "stoner" flavors every week...like chunky peanut butter ice cream...WHUT....but it was killing my self control. No more! LOL! But oh so yummy...I heart ice cream!
-
Two words. Peanut. And Butter. If you're upset about something and aren't hungry (I get that, and I'm sorry you are stressed) grab a TBS or two of PB. Delicious and calorie dense. BOOM, you've added a bit more to your day without eating a lot of bulk.

In the middle. I went nuts at Jazz Fest in NOLA a couple months back and I have an extra 6 pounds that REFUSE to budge. Even though I'm back to my old routine. Enjoy...but don't go bonkers...it can bite you in the butt.
