  • Diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 2 years ago. It's taken until now to get my dosage to where it needs to be. And I'm honestly still not sure it's exactly right, need to schedule blood work again, but I feel lots better so I assume it's either the right dosage or very close. I'm on 100mg of Levothyroxine at the moment.…
  • Thanks so much for the compliments, everyone  <3 They have definitely put me back into the game, full force :D It was just the kick in the butt I needed! :p
  • Thanks so much for all the kind words. I so needed them at this point. All the positive vibes you guys are sending out are definitely putting me in a healthier mindset than I have been in a little while. I wish you all the best and thank you all again so much for bringing up my spirits <3 It's been a really good day so…
  • I can second that :) I often eat a thousand calories for dinner(while staying in my calorie range) and I've lost 89lbs in the last 11 months... I used to think the same thing. That we're supposed to eat carrot sticks and 2oz chicken breast for dinner... at 5:30pm and not eat again for the night... Absolutely untrue... Lots…
  • Hi everyone :D I'm sending everyone friend requests! :D
  • I've been kind of interested in the program for a while but I didn't know how much I had to lose to begin. I know there isn't a "weight limit" per say, but how slow is the transition? I know it's intervals of walking and running, but how long are the intervals? I know I couldn't swing 10 minute intervals at first. I'm…
  • The stationary bike is my bestest friend :drinker: Starting an exercise regimen at 350 was pretty tough for me... First of all, I'm one of those odd people who does not like the feeling of crushing discomfort , which is what power walking, running, and pretty much everything else felt, and still kinda feels like to…
  • Hi :) That's neat... Your starting weight is one pound more than my heaviest weight ever at 362lbs... You have done so well! I'm like Virginia, just starting out... for the second time :ohwell: Keep it up! I wish I had done something about my weight when I was your age instead of waiting until 40  You're an…

  • Oh no! Don't take the pool! >.< I was living vicariously through you, imagining splashing in the water and doing laps  Second... yay! getting to babysit your granddaughter! I actually have a granddaughter on the way... not the best circumstances... unplanned, and the mother no longer wants to be with my…
  • I know! You're so close! >.< And that's the thing... I never understood that there could be leeway.. I mean, I always knew calories in/calories out, how carbs react, protein's part... having a continually dieting mother, you get to learn things... but my mom was one of those steadfast people... NEVER cheated, always did a…
  • Meadow - I actually really enjoy seeing you flounder.. lol... ok, that sounds bad but let me explain! the reason I like seeing your trials and how you get through them is because you've lost 55lbs and, to me, it seems like an impossible feat! :flowerforyou: ... Besides the birth of my children, I've probably never lost…
  • Hi Hi! Sending you a friend's request :D
  • Hi Hi Hi  It's Wednesday again! (Thanks for the email, Meadow! I would have forgotten to post >.<) Loss for the week: 3.8lbs Last week's goals were: - Stationary biking morning and night : 30min. - Tracking every day, every meal. - Don't let this stupid bout of vertigo sidetrack me! And they were a success! I'm…
  • I have to give you guys who are losing weight with young children so much credit! I know if I had wanted to I could have made my health and fitness a priority, I am in no way blaming my children, but wow... it's just so difficult... Of course, I did have 4 boys pretty close in age which is a bit more than you guys but…

  • Not trying to raise too much of a fuss... Just want to poke my nose in and make a tiny point pertaining to the "Satanist" comment... If someone totally disagrees with Catholicism, Christianity, etc... You absolutely can not be a Satanist... Use your noggin... Satan is contained... in the bible... If you're against/don't…
  • I read through waiting for someone to say this. I know it probably hurts you to see them eating things that you find less healthy, and that's a good emotion for a husband/father to feel. BUT... imagine if 6 months before you decided to make that life change, someone you loved had continually pushed their lifestyle on you.…
  • Hi Jan  It's funny, your life story in weight matches mine... 200lbs in highschool, about 260lbs after first 2 sons(10 mos. apart) and steady gaining through the years with my highest being 360lbs... I'm at 348lbs right now and hoping to keeping heading down! You have done really well with your weightloss so far!…
  • I agree with Carrieann, I can't wait to be 20lbs down! Just started a week or so ago.. again... She gave some good advice too... I know I always despise hearing, "Maybe you're losing fat and gaining muscle" because we all want to see that silly scale moveeeeeee down, but it really could be... or it could just be a plateau.…
  • Thanks so much, guys... It's been a pretty yucky day with this stupid vertigo  ... I ended up making an appointment with my doctor today and I'm medicated so expect typos and senseless gibberish :) I'm having to move my starting weight up to 353  But it's better to do it now, I suppose. Knowledge is power and…
  • I'd like to join >.< I'm returning after a long hiatus... last time I did anything on here was last September but I think I'm really ready this time. I'd love to get into your accountability group :D I can't weigh myself this week because... sigh... admitting is so hard >.< The scale I currently have only weighs up to…
  • It's really nice to feel like I'm not alone in this thing! I'm not used to being in a group situation so this is new and exciting :D I wish everyone so much luck and I hope fall gives us even more incentive to get active! I know it normally works that way for me... I don't mind doing things so much when I'm not dying from…
  • The spandex shorts or leggings are definitely worth looking into. They lessen all the swooshing that goes on when you're walking. Just make sure you either get leggings, or you get shorts that are not too short and have a well made hem around the legs.... There's nothing more annoying than spandex shorts rolling up your…
