  • Yeah since people like Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Layne Norton have no idea what they are talking about. And the trainers at a University football program. You got me with what you read on the interwebs. ;-)
  • If you do no carbs, then go back on carbs yes you will gain a bit of weight back. It'll be your body taking on a bit more water and Glucose once you carb back up.
  • Or you can just eat high protein, which will give you the same effect as BCAA's. You are making things too black and white.
  • I do push free weights over machines. (They are better.) Research has shown us that free weights promote quicker strength gains and they require more balance and coordination. Free weights use more muscle groups and tear muscle fibers than machines, per workout. Add in free weights allow a greater range of motion and are…
  • This isn't 100% true. BCAA and high protein can greatly help in this manner. You most likely aren't going to build any muscle unless you are a freak of nature, but you can stop Muscle catabolism with BCAA's and high levels of protein. • #1. never said not to use machines at all.. hence.. machines are great for some workouts. #2. never said you have to squat to failure. #3. power racks. (Better than a spotter most of the time!) ;-)
  • Depends on your fitness level. Take it slow and easy when you are starting out!
  • Call me crazy but when in Omaha at this place they have a pizza place that puts sliced salami on their pizzas and it was an awesome topping.
  • Foam Rollers are AWESOME.. I refused to use them for the longest time because I didn't want to look silly.. man I was missing out...
  • ***Dirty Little Secret*** Even though I'm a man, I LOVE the hungry girl books and recipes.. She uses the Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges in a lot of her recipes. DON'T YOU JUDGE ME!!! :-D
  • Watch the dosage though. There is a point of too much. I try to stick around 3000-4000mg EPA/DHA daily. (Not fish oil pills mg, look at the EPA/DHA numbers.) Also you want to shoot for double EPA over DHA if you can, usually meaning triple strength branded fish oil for best results. Actually talked about this awhile back..…
  • The Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges melts and is lower cals.
  • It doesn't look quite right together, I think it's how the fabric meets from the shirt and the skirt. It does fit your body well and you can definitely wear each piece.
  • Cissus Powder. Cissus Powder. Cissus Powder. It tastes horrible, but it's amazing stuff when it comes to joint and ligament pain.. I also mega dose on fish oil, but I can tell when I stop taking Cissus Powder. I'm a big free weight fan. Machines are great for some workouts, but how can you be lifting without enjoying…
  • I know this isn't what you want to hear but..... you have to make time... mentally is the hardest part. I work in a corporate environment and I understand. I have a family, who I don't see much of because of my work schedule, the problem is we have to make time for this journey. You have to dedicate some time to it now.…
  • Yeah, especially when it's first new and shiny to us :-) After about a week of wearing it except when showering I got to the point where I felt weird when it wasn't on. It's just one of those things you get used to. It's an awesome tool to have! Good luck on your journey!
  • To be honest if you goal is to lose weight and you are going to eat back the cals I'd go with the lowest to be safe. I'd look at investing into a HRM or a Bodymedia Device. Something that will give you a bit more accurate numbers.
  • You need a larger band, you need it loose enough that you can barely feel it on your arm and it just barely doesn't slide off.. The first day or so you will be able to tell its on your arm, just ignore it. After a couple days you'll forget you are wearing it. Sleeping is when most people have the hardest time with it. I…
  • Scrap heap.... Wait... (I see what you did there!!!)
  • Why does my car gain weight and the tires over inflate once a month? (Don't KILL ME LADIES!!!)
  • My car just doesn't seem to burn gas.
  • I was at the Dr. and they took me back to there scale in the back.. it goes up to 350lbs.. It couldn't weigh me.... I had never realized I weighed that much. (I knew I had gotten big, but I guess I never realized I was that big.) The nurse was even shocked, I ended up going and buying a scale that could measure up to…
  • Planet Fitness, where you can't deadlift :-( or make too much noise while lifting :-(
  • Only time I've been offended was I'm pretty sure a guy sh** himself squatting in the squat rack once.. He was squatting.. then he dropped the weight off and busted towards the locker room as this smelled filled the area.. The whole area stunk so bad forever
  • I'm not trying to single anyone out, so many people say Optimum Nutrition is the best, you guys really need to try Xtreme Formulations, Trutein, iForce, and some of the other premium guys out. They are $$$ but they are amazing. The one thing about Optimum Nutrition is cost wise it'll be cheaper then the rest unless they…
  • Beef Jerky, Propel Water Flavoring Packets, Almond Milk.
  • I haven't either, it's a different type of negative.. I think it's because we are all dieting and hungry :-D
  • iForce Red Velvet and other flavors are some of the best on the market right now. After that XF Cinnamon roll is the BOMB.. Anyone that says ON tastes better then XF or iForce is CRAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYY and most likely hasn't tried many protein powder brands. iForce, XF, Trutein all have better flavoring than ON,…
  • I was on a steroid for my psoriasis and prednisone for a long time and gained A LOT of weight. I got off them and have been working on losing the weight. It's been hard but you can do it! I clocked in at 400lbs, under 280 now. You got this, just remember it's a long term thing, some days it seems like nothing is going…
