lifting along with sufficient protein intake will help preserve muscle , so yes. You seem to be in a similar situation as me with starting weight. I'm currently 171 and not as lean as I'd want to be right now, and I was lifting for pretty much the whole transformation. It's probably doable though.

I just got out of cocoon mode, I didn't want anybody to notice so i would always wear huge clothes and jackets. For me personally I didn't see a change until the 50 possibly 60 lb mark, but then again i avoided cameras like the plague, so i had no pictures to compare with.

Take it if you want, it's one of the most researched supplements to be sold. It's not dangerous and it *can* help with increasing muscle endurance during sessions. You would still have to eat in a surplus and lift to gain muscle, but its cheap and the small increase in intensity can help.
