I confess that there is a new dog near my house who barks at all hours, and I fantasize about slowly feeding him poisoned meatballs in order to fall back asleep lol

No, you're right, I'm not 723 lbs. I was 707 but now I'm down to 699 I believe. I am going to try this on my own first though and I thank the people here and offline that have so supportive, win lose or gain.

Wait, why??

Thank you guys!! I know that if I'm going to make this work this time, I'm going to have to up my game in terms of consistency. Sometimes I think people hate because they can tell that I don't tow the line with all the normal body hate stuff. A lot of people, women especially, can treat weigh loss and dieting like a…

Glad you're here! I get you on the fast food thing. But you have to find a way to change. For you kids if no one else! Good luck!

THANK YOU. I don't understand how anyone can think I take pleasure in coming clean about where I'm at and being honest with a board that is intended to help when you're in a rut like this. :(
-
Yeah yeah, I got that before. It was a riot.

I I know I love processed foods, lets be honest

Yay! I've gained instead of losing since joining here (+150lbs or so), but it doesn't mean it won't work for you! WW always had its flaws too, which I'm sure you're really aware of

I feel you, hun. I LOVE drunk eating when the mood strikes. I can polish off much more and its even more fun. BUT there are major calorie consequences and the next morning you are FEELING IT
-
It's true, but some foods leave you still wanting more even if you're full, so you got to watch out for that!!!
-
Not sure if it makes too much of a difference, but I always figured I was heavier when I had my period
-
Thanks! Honestly, gaining only 100lbs over four years I think is pretty good, considering

Hi guys! Just FYI I'm back and I'm ready to lose this time. I gained about 100lbs since I last posted, but I'm past that. I just want to say that I appreciate the positive people here, and I look forward to encouraging others! ~D

I'm not an expert at weight loss or anything, but I do think that you need to let people have some lee-way to eat the things they need to get by, honestly Not everyone can be a kale freak all the time lol

Just stick to it! Sometimes the body needs to re-calibrate I think.

Sometimes think that an outward appearance means an inward change. I definitely noticed that in the other direction too, people treating you different as you get heavier and heavier for example. They act like getting super heavy means that there is something different about you now....

The wii fit has been helpful? Any favorite games?

Good for you!!!

That's good advice, hun. Fat people float! Being in a pool is very freeing when you're supersized. The key is figuring out how to get to a pool with privacy, getting a swimsuit, and planning the logistics of getting in an out..

I guess I'm bumping this thread! A friend of mine pointed out that this was here and I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Dani, 34 years old and I work from home. The main reason I joined MFP is that I do tend to overeat and as a result I've gained a lot of weight over the years. In the last 12 years I've put on somewhere…

Thanks, I love the way you did your makeup in that photo. :)
-
Great look, I'm loving the curls!
-
Same here! I put on close to 40lbs each year in grad school (gasp! I know...); but I'm sure you'll do better. You just have to do better than I did with managing your stress with something other than food.
-
I'd definitely try my hand at those lol ;)

Sometimes I feel like all these documentaries are the same--headless shots and fat people and imaginary data on infographics. Self-proclaimed experts and pretend investigative journalism, conspiracies, etc etc. At the end of the day, no documentary is actually going to "solve obesity"; its really just money-making sideline…

I weigh in very sporadically, maybe every few months or so. I generally find it discouraging, so I do avoid it if I can. I went a long time for a while without doing it in part because the scale I had at home only went up to 550. A while back I got a newer one that goes up to 1000--in part to help get things rolling with…
