  • I fill up on tons of vegetables - cooked, grilled, broiled, raw, topped with herbs, plain - you can eat & eat with veggies (no butter needed) and you get tons of crunch and/or flavor. Broiled eggplant is a new fav of mine, cucumbers are always good, fresh green beans raw, asparagus - find what you like!
  • I agree - ditch the therapist and get a trainer. Doing new behaviors will get you motivated. You could sit there and ask "why" for months, when the "why" is not that hard to understand. Having a baby is hard on your body, you're tired, everything is about the little one, and it's so much easier when you're tired to just…
  • nope, no eating disorder. You are doing very healthy, responsible things. I don't think people in this country are really used to seeing people set goals and then do the work needed to reach them. People think there's either "skinny" genes or "heavy" genes. They aren't used to the idea that people work to get to where they…
  • You look beautiful and happy!
  • I LOVE my protein shakes. 22 g protein, 130 calories for the powder, extra for a cup of 1% milk, and it keeps me full until lunch (12:00 noon) or so. I don't do it every day - I don't want to "forget" how to eat real food, or what keeps me full, but I really notice that it holds me over. I use Body Fortress Super Advanced…
  • Inches. Weight is just a number. Very meaningless. How fit you are, how strong you feel, how your body works for you .... that's all functional!
  • It's always okay to stand up for yourself. Peer pressure from .....friends??? What kind fo friends do that? Drinking buddies do that, but friends? Check with you gut, do what YOU feel comfortable with, not what your friends want you to do. Losing weight isn't just about the weight. It's getting to know who you are, testing…
  • Feel free to add me - I'm a full-time working mom of three kids - 11, 8, 6. So, they're not at the infant/toddler stage - but man, they keep you busy! You're profile said you were in Philadelphia - I'm in Phoenixville, right next to King of Prussia/Valley Forge. I'm struggling with the last 7 pounds up, there they are,…
  • It's amazing how it's so much more than 20 lbs. - it's attitude, confidence, and you LOOK so much younger!!!
  • it sounds like you should definitely be eating back your calories. 1200 calories plus working out is dropping you into a zone where you won't lose weight. Your body will think it's starving, since you'll be at net 900 calories for the day. Eat back your calories & see what happens - but the important thing is don't…
  • Feel free to add me - I had been running 3 miles a week about 3 times, along with mixing in other excercise, but I'm working toward a 10 mile run in May (and I've never run more than 5 miles before this). So, I'd be interested to see other runners building up to their goal distance
  • That's what I had been around - 80. Thanks!
  • Way to go! Commit to day #2 tomorrow TODAY. Don't wake up with a question in your head like "am I doing this tomorrow?" Commit TODAY with your success under your belt.
  • WOW. That's HUGE. The more you put into it, the more you get out. Likely doing it the 2nd time you had already gained muscle/experience and the ability to tell yourself "I can do this" and so you were able to get a lot more out of it. Nice job!
  • that is truly awesome. Great job!
