  • Thank you! The 108lbs has been over about a 6 year time. I was down more but have gained back 35lbs over the past year and a half! But I think I got my head back in the game now. I'll keep pushing! I need to lose another 100lbs at least to get to my goal!
  • I wish I could say it's water or muscle weight. I used to tell myself that, but now I don't know what to think!
  • I feel the same way at times. Like I've lost a lot, but it never seems to be enough. I wonder will I ever get rid of my huge gut, thunder thighs, and flabby arms. I have a cousin who started about the same size as me and she lost about 200lbs and she looks much older than she is and sickly... like a bag of bones literally,…

  • True, I try to not focus on the scales so much, but it's hard. I was just curious because it always seems to happen. Thanks for the info!
  • I love that burgundy lace dress! You're looking great...good job!
  • Ok, that makes me feel a little better. I was fixin to be mad at the world today, LOL! I know I first started cutting calories with my drinks. I rarely drink anything other than water, diet pop, Crystal Light (or the generics), tea sweetened with splenda, or Low Cal protein shakes. That right there cut out at least 750…
  • FelizMi is "happy me" (I think... that's what google translate told me lol)
  • 6,000 calories in a day??? And you don't exercise??? And you are only 188lbs??? See this is the stuff that ticks me off. I have been eating under 2,000 calories a day AND exercising regulary for years and I can't even get under 200lbs, no where close!!! I really would like to know why is it that some people can eat so much…
  • Property management accountant... fun stuff!
  • 2 1/2 years. I started working out on my own summer of 2006. Over a couple of years I had lost 80lbs then hit a plateu, then gained back 30. When I could lose anymore, I decided to get banded. I lost about 20lbs on their 3 month pre diet and about 10 on the 2 week liquid diet. I lost 70lbs since surgery, didn't go to my…
  • I was banded Dec 2009 it's not going as well as expected. I had a setback and gained 20lbs back and stretched my pouch which tilted my band causing acid reflux. They had to take all my fluid out about a month ago. I blame it all on myself, I didn't go to my doctor for a year and lost my "band" mind. But I don't think I…
  • I'm an accountant for a property management company in Indianapolis. That's my second job. My first time job is single mommy of two, lol! I have a third job, driving an hour each way to get to the second job, it's often quite a nightmare!
  • Yes, I notice a big difference, but I think a lot of it has to do with I smile more now because, even though I'm not anywhere close to my goal, I am finally happy with myself for accomplishing what I have, and I just plain feel better. So I guess my change in attitude just makes me more approachable. One negative side…
  • Not always true. I have a lapband so with all the work outs I do, there is no way for me to eat the calories it would take for me to gain weight (unless I'm drinking my calories which I only drink zero calorie drink, so that's not it either). And I have not lost anything all year. It's so easy for people to say, stop…
  • My body is doing the same thing. I have only been fluxing up and down all this year, actually at a 5lb gain right now, but I am continually losing inches and toning up. I've also stopped having periods so I think my issue may be hormone related. I go to the doctor in December and will have her check that out!
  • rash, it's nasty!
  • AMEN!!!
  • When I stepped on the scale for the first time in 18 months and it was 393! Last time I was on a scale before I gave birth to my son I was only 330! I did not realize how bad I was, but now I look back at photos of that time and I don't understand how I didn't know it!
  • The difference is I weigh over 250lbs where you only weigh 130lbs. My body takes more just to function because of my higher weight.
  • Again, if it were as simple as calories in vs. calories, I would have to have a BMR of like 500 to still be gaining. My point simply is that it's not as simple as burn more calories than you take in.
  • Exactly my point! It's not just about calories in and calories out! And even if I didn't do any zumba at all, just "living" and "moving" grocery shopping, walking to the office building, walking up and down the stairs, I still wouldn't net any where close to 1800 calories a day. I should be losing something, not gaining!
  • Agreed! I think hormones, heredity, and who knows what else have a lot to do with it! It's not as simple as the people, who by the way most seem to not have weight problems, say!
  • I don't agree with this. According to all the calculators, my BMR (which is supposed to be how many calories I would burn if I did nothing but rest) is over 1800. I never eat more than 1800 calories in a day unless it's a day that I have worked out, but my net is always way under 1800 calories. And I work out (usually an…
  • I don't so much focus on the weight anymore, because my weight fluxuates so much, not netting a loss practically all year, but my inches and clothes size are dropping pretty well. And my body is firming up and I am seeing less dimples and fat. :-) I know I will flux up to 5 lbs day to day, even morning to evening, or from…
  • Here's my problem, my measurement around my navel is the smallest, and tha's where the waist line of my pants sit. Even naked, it's like I have a belt built in my body that cinches there but creates a permanent muffin top above that sticks out maybe 2 inches on all sides, except the back is not so bad, and then another…
  • It's ok if you look and don't touch, or get touched, and you better not give any of them any of OUR money! Unless I'm there with you, lol!
  • what the f***!!!
