I'm in the same boat! I've been between 120-125 for a few years. My goal is to be below 120 and I want to start running outside. Has anyone gotten slimmer by running long distance?

Remember, abs are made in the kitchen.

I'm also vegetarian. I lost weight last year by eating a ton of fruits, vegetables, beans, whole wheat bread and tofu last year. Most of my food are carby but it works for me. Fruits and vegetables have a lot of carbs and fructose but they are good for you.

I started this Monday!

I can walk to the gym in about 10 minutes and my workout lasts 30-45 minutes. I guess I'll give either option a try.

I'm also from VA!

This is the most debated topic on MFP. Many people encourage eating all the exercise calories back but I think you should only eat some back. We underestimate our caloric intake and overestimate our exercise calories generally. Also, I find that when I encourage myself to eat back everything, I end up binging on food. So…

Cereal or granola for dinner fulfills my appetite.

Thanks for the support, guys. I"m going back to being a vegetarian. Health-wise, I'm starting to realize that's a better option.

LNS is taking over my life! It doesn't help that I'm nocturnal either! I work late into the night or early morning so nighttime offers many hours of potential slipups! This week has been awful awful awful!!! Two night ago, I finished a whole box of cereal. Last night, I finished a whole bag of pita chips. I need to change…

My nutritionist told me to eat at least 1600 calories. That's not net calories so if you burn off 400 at the gym, you're still fine.

If you want organic and healthy protein bars, try Clif or NuGo.

By the way my nutritionist doesn't like people eating protein bars to get the extra protein. Eat lean meat and legumes and you'll get similar amounts of protein for the same 180-300 calorie bars, which are full of processed sugar and chemicals. Pure Protein has over 15g of sugar alcohol. Would you rather take put that in…

I'm a vegan too! Dining out is hard but those restrictions give me an excuse to watch what I'm putting into my mouth. I stick to whole grains, fruits, legumes, and vegetables. I avoid processed food and soy products (because vegans can be unhealthy too). Anyway, if have any questions, feel free to send me a message.

I'm not on a diet. I'm changing my lifestyle. I'm now a vegan.

I've been eating so much PB this month too! I eat organic crunchy PB which makes me feel less guilty...but still. I rarely ate PB until recently so after I finish this container, I won't buy more.

I'm from NoVA too! Nice to meet you!

Good tip!

Pizza!

Congratulations! That's great progress!

A number of factors could be causing this: 1. Did you weight yourself at the same time as last time? 2. Do you know if your calories burned measurement is accurate? 3. Try to cut down on sodium in your diet.

I have the same problem. My nutritionist says it's okay to eat every 3-4 hours if you eat healthily. When I'm awake at 4 am, I would grab a snack and then go back to bed. If it's under 100 calories, I'm not too worried about it.

I'm 5'2" and my GW is 110 and then 105. Currently I've been plateauing. =(

So the HRM reading on machines are fairly accurate. But the calorie reading isn't... Typically speaking, is the calorie reading lower or higher than the reading on an actual HRM?

I'm so shocked by calories in walnut halves. Apparently 14 halves are 185 calorie! Thank goodness I only had half of that.

I don't eat fast food but a banana's calorie is a bit large for fruits. Despite high amounts of potassium (which I can get elsewhere), it's got a ton of carbs and sugar. =( I don't eat bananas anymore.

Try online. I also suggest Clif Builder bars which has 20g of protein. Luna only has 9g. Both taste very good and chewy in my opinion.

I'm a new vegan! Feel free to ask me questions.
