So I went 18 days with no fatty foods and no sweet foods. Today I went shopping with my girlfriends and got a delicious piece of cheesecake as a reward! I'm very proud of myself though because even with the cheesecake, because of the super healthy choices I made the rest of the day I didn't go over my calories for the day!!! It feels so good knowing I finally have the willpower to make healthy choices. Got a healthy homemade pizza in the oven right now and it smells great!

I've always read that it's not good to "reward" yourself with sweets for weight loss but I totally disagree with that if you tend to crave sweets. I think, if you're good for a while and see a change as a result of what you're doing, it's fine to treat yourself...that way, you don't feel deprived of anything and it's easier to move on to the next week of being good...For me, it's Mexican food. If I can be "good" for a couple of weeks, taking a day and splurging on what my taste buds find satisfying, whatever it may be...its ok.

What do you all think about this?

I don't see anyway to succeed on a diet or lifestyle change if you don't ever treat yourself with foods you love! Even the personal trainer at my gym said you have to have a cheat day once per week. Its the only way I have been able to stay on track. Otherwise you'll end up bingeing on the bad stuff when you can't take it anymore! lol, NOT good.
