Either the current one or the mirror selfie in the grey tshirt in the second row :)

HAHAHA that calculator told me I had 25% body fat. I freaking wish! :-)

Ooh I like these. Thanks!

No Toy Story? Disappointing...

Thanks. I live to please.

Now this really gives me the sh*ts. Is there some way the mods can/do go through the database and remove things that are clearly inaccurate? I see things all the time in people's diaries where I think 'absolutely no way is that correct', but they've probably just done what I sometimes do, which is take the 'middle' option…

That's great work, and you look fantastic :)
-
Sorry, I think weighing is really the only way to be accurate.

Definitely worth it. I tend to do more interval training than steady state cardio and it does a great job. I can watch my heartrate drop and then know when it's time for another sprint of whatever exercise I'm doing. I'm in Aus and I'd be very surprised if you can't get the Polar HRMs at some of the sports shops in NZ, or…

I don't know how to post photos but if you have a look at my profile you'll see some before and 'durings' (too soon for afters!) which I think show quite a difference. My face is definitely where I've noticed the differences the most, so far...

This :) Plus turd is one of my favourite wurds. I mean words.

MFP may yet surprise me with showing good taste.

wow, this thread is really taking off
-
Ha! Well actually, I should have been more specific about which bits of his post I was applauding. I've also got mine set to only half a pound loss per week because I'm close to goal and don't want to be hungry or miserable. So we're in screaming agreement on that one :)

You may be my new hero.

wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. It's all about moderation. And when you cut out 'most' of the crap, you open your culinary world up to a huge variety of good clean fresh delicious food that there just isn't TIME to eat, when you exist on pizza and burgers. If all you care about is calories and weight loss, then good for…

This thread is really cool. It's inspiring to see how many people have taken the leap of faith and gone into business for themselves. I have a question for you all. Has anyone made the call of sacrificing salary for passion, and how did you work up the courage to do that?
-
cool thread! I work for a University, coordinating bids for research funding. Some days I love it, especially when my bids are successful. I did a PhD in international relations but could never quite figure out how to turn that into a career without speaking a dozen languages and having the CV of someone twice my age.

salted! What the hell kind of question is that? :) do you have indoor plants?
-
True I've never watched Top Gun
-
Yes, because that makes you my twin :)

Ok I'll play! Hate to see your good intentions wasted :) I am also pretty close to goal, and it's awesome and everything. But sometimes I feel like I'm never going to actually get there, that it's just too damn hard to focus SO much on constant meal planning, and putting so much time into training. Plus when I go and buy…

I've spent hours trying to whittle my list down to one thing, and still can't. Sorry. ;)

Ok, commenting on this feels a little weird, but I understand you. I work in an environment where I want my physical appearance to be irrelevant. That used to be easier when I was fat. Now, I walk differently, I dress differently, and that glow, is apparently getting attention. Nothing overt or inappropriate, but enough to…

We're all completely different in the way our body responds. I've lost 14kg (30 pounds) but barely half a cup size off my boobs. 6kg from goal and I'm hoping I could lose 1 full cup. Currently somewhere between a D and a DD (Aussie sizes - not sure how they compare to other countries).

This is wonderful news :) I know how it feels to have amazing things like this happen that you just know are going to change your life. It sounds like you really deserve this sweetheart, and I hope you take this opportunity with both hands and enjoy the hell out of it!

ROFL. Never listened to them in my life!

I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss what he's saying. That sounds like about what I spend a month on PT, and our sessions have followed a fairly similar pattern. I've been working with the PT for a year and have had some amazing results, however as someone else said my PT does also give me really good advice about my diet.…
