count macros, not calories. The food data base is a collective input by MFP users, who may have the macros on, but input the calories wrong.

Would these lower back issues be associated with hyperlordosis? or anything to do with the imbalance of the hips and the spine? If so then use the corrective nature of the front squat. And use the Olympic grip over the hand-over-hand grip as that would facilitate thoracic kyphosis.

I suggest you take out all crappy foods from your fridge and pantry and bin it. Fill your fridge with fruits and vegetables, that way ifyou to raid the fridge there will be nothing to eat but fruits and veges.

you could add more reps, use a 3,2,1 tempo, pause the contractions, Flex for 5 - 10 secs after a set. All in all, increasing the time under tension without increasing the weight.

sarcoplasmic hypertrophy wise I agree with you. But your legs can still grow if you stimulate it enough. You body doesn't know what 400lbs is. It only knows stimulation and response.

depends what he's trying to do. If he's trying to stimulate hypertrophy, weight is irrelevant (myofribullar hypertrophy that is). Heavy weights and lots of reps. I wish you good luck in lower carbs and fats, that drove me insane last time. Particularly the fats, spiked my hormones and went haywire and I got really moodey and agitated.
