  • Www.dailyburn.com has great kettlebell routines with a great instructor modeling excellent form which targets core muscles and legs. Also Amy Bento has some great dvds.
  • I love it....so many workouts to choose from, even kettlebell. The instructors are great also, and it's only $10.00 a month. Use it on my iPad, which travels with me everywhere. The first 30 days are free, so if you don't like it, you just cancel your membership.
  • I'm in. Already did 3 minutes earlier today.
  • I started with 5 lb. kettlebells, especially since I wanted to learn the correct form first. but 5 lbs is really light for me since I lift at the gym 3 X a week. You really only need to purchase one. There are great kettlebell workouts at www.dailyburn.com and the kettlebell dvds by Amy Bento Ross are supposed to be…
  • Thank you! Luv, luv, luv blueberry muffins.....
  • Weight training increases your calorie burn even when you are sleeping, and your muscles are repairing. It is cardio, especially when you are doing 2-4 sets, waiting about 30-45 seconds between sets, using good form, and breathing correctly. I do circuit training 3 x a week and cardio 3 x a week. On days when I do both…
  • I love my very used copy of "Trim & Terrific Freezer Friendly Meals" by Holly Clegg. I think she has some newer cookbooks also.

Although it worked (twice), life always seemed to throw curve balls that got me off track and I would gain it back. Feels so much better…

  • Weights plus sensible cardio works best. Circuit training, if done correctly in a focused manner, is aerobic activity. Lean muscle burns more fat, even while you are sleeping. Check out this site for calories burned per activity: http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/calculat.htm.
  • 1 cup Silk light chocolate soy milk mixed with 2 tablespoons PB2 or Tazo Passion tea
  • Edamame, Special K flatbread breakfast sandwiches with salsa added, creamed spinach, bananas for smoothies, peaches, Trader Joe's beef and broccoli, Trader Joe's Tom Yum Soup, Kashi pizzas
  • A teaspoon of PB with some whipped cream on top.....YUMMY.....and a good pre workout snack.....tastes like peanut butter pie
  • Vodka & diet coke, Lime Vodka & diet cranberry or Sprite zero......and not really light, but malibu coconut rum and orange juice rocks
  • If you are nervous about trying Zumba, try Zumba Gold. An easier way to get used to the moves, and lower impact on the joints. There is also a Zumba Gold DVD you can buy; great 45 minute, fun workout. Includes a training DVD on all the steps, which is also a great workout. Zumba is great! Doesn't matter if you are a good…

  • I would love to join this group. Finding it much harder to lose weight since getting older, going through a complete hysterectomy, and plunging into surgical menopause. The hormone battle is on! Anyone else in this group going through similar issues?
