Awesome, congrats!!!!! This is not a silly thing to celebrate at all! I am hovering barely above that same mark myself, and I thank you for delivering me an extra dose of motivation. Keep up the GREAT work!

Oh my gosh, I've been avoiding cheesecake for over 6 months now, we're old friends and my waist line can vouch for that! Thank you for posting this, you ROCK! :)

Love them! I personally think they taste a bit like cabbage, but when roasted it is hard to compare to anything imho. I like to dip 'em in a little red wine vinegar before eating.

We dated in Jr. High for a couple years, but went our separate ways and ended up in marriages that ended pretty badly for both of us. A few years later we reconnected through the Classmates website, and the rest is history. We've been together since 2001, married since 2004 and looking forward to many many more years…

Down a bit for me. The cost of the food is higher, but the reduction in portion sizes and trips out to restaurants made a more significant difference.

Crime. It does exist, but is low to the national average. Shopping: Gobs. Eateries: Gobs and more gobs. Gyms: Check. Including one @ the U Farmers Markets: Check. Quite a few downtown, not sure about winter time though. My wife and I had a house in Rohnert Park for a while (she's from San Fran), the cost of living doesn't…

I'd instead call it motivation, and you've got an amazing compilation of folks here to help you through it. Keep your eye on the prize!!!! :)

I feel your pain... I often travel on business with two or three others at times, and find it difficult to end up somewhere I'd "prefer" due to the minority vote. What I really needed to do is learn to better manage the options, and make better food choices for me regardless of where we went. This helped greatly:…

I'd tell her exactly how you feel, what you expressed here in this thread. Do so, and you'll find out pretty quickly just how good of a "friend" she really is. My $0.02.

Excuse? If we were making excuses we wouldnt be here... I don't blame my weight or my health on anyone buy myself and my poor choices in life.... And neither does my wife for that matter. But thanks for opinion.

There are so many studies on diet sodas it’s not even funny, with the ones touting negative benefits vs. positive being split nearly down the middle. What "I" know is that when my wife completely dropped fully sugared soda for diet? Her weight gain increased which could substantiate (IMHO) some claims that it actually…

Grats on the first victory of many! Keep up the great work!

Originally from Idaho, but I've been in Utah the past 24 years.

Was at a reuinion, took my shirt off to dive into the lake from the dock: Nephew: "Uncle! When did you get so fat?" Me: "Nephew! When did you get so rude?" I was once bothered by it...now he's bigger than me. That karma.... LOL.

Time to cut your losses, move on, and never look back imho. There are far better fish in the sea, and you deserve to land one. Good luck!

That's correct, and if they fall in this category and it isn't posted, they must provide it when asked for it.

I've played since vanilla just before BC was released, and I don't put in much time at all during the warm weather months. Love it or hate it, its longevity is proof that there's enough people willing to sustain it and keep playing. While raiding is definately my favorite aspect, I must agree that it's been over simplified…

Simply amazing. Excellent work!

Simple... By choosing to adhere to the lifestyle change I've committed to. It's alright to have a "treat" once in a while, as long as I'm not exceeding my set goals. Good luck!

Keep up the GREAT work! There are so many great people here to help you keep motivated and headed in the direction you desire. I too have been up and down over and over again, but finally deciding I need a "life" change seems to have been the trick. Keep it going!

Excellent advice. I drink it straight or with soda water too, both with lime. I'm going to have to give the mint a shot, sounds tasty!

Once a week on Saturday morning wearing only the birthday suit. That frequency of checking works well enough for me.

I allow myself a "reward" meal once every two weeks... The key I've found however, is to make it reasonable, say 10%-30% over what that meal would normally contain for me. This way I am satisfied both with something I normally don't get, and I haven't completely blown 2, 3 or even more days doing it. Works for me!

Amazing feat, and truly inspiring. You look amazing! Thanks, my motivation just went up, by more than a few notches!

43, happily married with 2 adult sons, and recently joined as I'm tired of this extra weight dragging me down. Feel free to add me, a little extra motivation never hurts, right?

Ahhhhhh believe me, I can sooooooo relate to this... I'm 43 ;)
