By surplus, I'm assuming you mean a surplus in "net calories" , right?

Thanks for your reply :) I weigh 133 lbs now, the healthy range for our height actually starts at 125 lbs if you are using BMI. Plus, I don't use BMI because I don't believe it is a good metric for me.

I have been working out every day for a little bit over 3 weeks now. Before that I would only run on weekends. I have gained an average of 3 lbs. not exactly 300, but here is what I do and it's around 350-400 but very filling: 0.5 bag of frozen vegetables ,steamed -> this is 150 cal 1 steamed chicken breast -> this is around 190 cal so it ends up being around 340, but I assure you it is filing :) Hope this helps!
