Since you are training from scratch take it easy and build your base. Don't bother with pace. Also every run is going to be different. Some days are going to be better than others.

Tell you doctor it's getting boring to just bike. Ask them to give other options besides biking. They should be able to guide you with that.

Me too. I always drool over her arm definition. She worked so very hard to get where she is today. I'm slightly biased towards Tennis women players though (huge Tennis fan).

I run and do other workouts (HIIT and TRX) on empty stomach most times and if in mood drink coffee. For most people under 90 minutes cardio they do not need any pre-workout supplements. If you are fairly inexperienced runner do not add speed training. Other than that +1 to change the plan to fit ending date with race date ....

You want leaner legs? Sorry I thought you are fed-up with leaner legs. Pilates is primarily for strength, flexibility, posture and core strengthening. EDTA: OK now I understood. You want leaner legs with muscles. Am I correct? In that case running, cycling, lunges, leg extensions, leg presses. And you won't bulk.

Are you sure for the higher deductible part for once a year blood work? Most insurance companies and the plans do not have "high deductibles" for a blood work once a year. They as a matter of fact encourage.
