  • Yes. The Fitbit is a pedometer that uses an accelerometer to measure steps and altitude (Fitbit One that is), the BMF Link has sensors that contact your skin to read skin temperature, galvanic skin response and heat flux in addition to those accelerometer capabilities. I chose it over the Fitbit One for that reason. I…
  • Get the new update released yesterday - enables linking to/from the website (at least on Android) and has a cleaned up display that is consistent in appearance with their website. Now I can Bluetooth to my phone and sync with the website all wirelessly. Big improvement.
  • Have the Link armband and its accurate and useful. Syncing between MFP, Bodymedia and a Withings WiFi scale all work together very nicely. Sync between the armband and my Samsung Galaxy III Android phone via Bluetooth works well also. The only thing that does not yet work is the syncing between the mobile app on the phone…
  • I have the BMF LINK armband; really like it. Downsides - You have to wear it all the time on your upper left arm (23 hrs per day suggested). You get used to it and the armband does not have to be very tight. After it's on for a few minutes it kind of sticks to your skin so tightening the strap doesn't really add…
  • I mean no offense but it sounds like (maybe) you simply haven't committed yourself to losing weight (and that's still okay). I toyed with diets in the past, thought about losing the weight etc. but it wasn't until I completed the mental exercise of deciding, very definitively that I WAS going to lose weight for myself and…
  • I have a BM Link but my SO has as both the FitBit and the FitBit One. The difference is that the FitBit is not very sweat proof/water resistant and the FitBit One is better in this area. It also adds Bluetooth which I don't think the FitBit has and its a tad smaller than the original FitBit. The FitBit One has mobile apps…

  • There are many discussions on MFP in regard to 'eating back calories'. Some do, some don't. I usually eat back some of the calories if I feel like it and other times I don't. Personally, I don't worry about it much.
  • DIY is Scary - I watched that video and heard things like "any carabiner will do, or even an S-hook". TRX themselves have had enough injuries to prompt a recall - their buckles were failing. They have replacement units now and I have mine on order. If you build your own, use only the best hardware, preferably rated for…
  • I bought the Link armband recently and I have to say, I'm fairly impressed. It seems daunting a bit at first to get everything integrated but looking back, it was quite easy. Set up accounts at both MFP and Bodymedia. Log into the Bodymedia Activity Manager, select APPS, then find MFP and click that. Select Link Accounts;…
  • I purchased a Link armband recently and found it and the website to be worth it. I have MFP integrated along with a Withings WiFi scale. Everything works as it should and I feel I am getting appropriate value out of my investment.
